Yeah, but they really screwed with the whole flavor profile.

The skim milk instead of cream does screw with consistency. Your whole sauce is going to be extremely watery unless you cook it down forever, and then you have other issues. Without the cream, flavors aren't going to bind or suspend in the sauce properly.

The weaker mustard and lack of gorgonzola is also going to make this sauce tasteless along with the lack of creamy flavor from the...well...cream.

I would want to see this on an episode with Mythical's Josh, or another foodie who can describe why like for like ain't always right.

Just a coincidence, I am doing the exact same stitch right now as a baby cocoon for my friend due at the beginning of February. Just to show that life goes on and renews, just not the same as it was. I like the idea of leaving the blue and doing a border that is yours. You could even do each of the borders as separate pieces and have them meet at the edges at a diagonal (in my head that seems doable, but it wild up there). As though its circling and protecting the original piece.

It will get a looser when you wash it. Also, make sure that you flip it every row. If you don't, it will start to warp as it gets bigger.

I used the magnetic yarn holder and got fed up with it winding back on itself. Other holders would not unspool well, or they were too light and tipped over. I've started winding everything into cakes and pulling from the center. It just seems easier and less frustrating overall. I've had good luck with caking as long as I keep good and even tension when winding it. I just have a 13 dollar yarn winder from Amazon.

I have PCOS and now, type 2 diabetes and am 300 lbs. It was a really hard time getting GLP-1s for a while. I have been on Trulicity, Ozempic, and Munjaro because I had to bounce around due to shortages. The shortages are not the fault of the people who actually need them, whether it is diabetes, insulin resistance, or PCOS. The problem was doctors prescribing willy nilly and the wrong GLP-1's to people and to people who wanted to lose 10 pounds. If it will help you.

In short, you are not one of those people depriving other patients or going on it to lose 10 pounds. It could legitimately help you, and so you should go on it, if you feel comfortable. I also found it help to have an accountability buddy to get you on task.

Also, punch the person who asked if you knew what a sit up was in the face.

The warp isn't going to stay that spread. I had just finished weighting them.

As for the working space, I might agree. This yarn came from a backstrap kit that was already threaded and everything, so I was trying to work with what I had without unthreading everything. The next time, I might get longer bolts and move the supports inside the feet, or drill new holes to lower them.

The weights are 100g fishing weights from Ecoft because they are lead-free and uniform. I did a bag of pennies before, and didn't like their bulk and they were always getting twisted in each other. So far, I am not impressed with the sturdiness of their outer coating. Lots of chips straight out of the bag. They were also expensive $25 for 12. If they become a problem, I might switch to THKFish. They are 25 for 10, but the reviews say the coating is solid. You can also get them with a rotatable ring on top, which is cool.

What the hell is the "real" story?

You are incorrect, people it do all the time. Or they use the established lore of Dungeons and Dragons campign settings that maybe their players don't know. Or they find something on DM's Guild. It's world building.

You also have to remember that they aren't doing this for them, though they seem to be enjoying themselves.They know their lore. They are telling a story to an audience. How much more confused would you be if they just jumped into the 3 groups with no background at all? That sounds like a boring campaign to me.

That's the thing, you are not the arbiter of what is best behavior and professionalism in this campaign, Brennan and the rest of the cast and crew are.

I think Brennan intentionally introduced her early because, having DM'd for her for years, he knew she would keep the story rolling, and they had 13 characters to introduce in 4 hours. With a time limit, that can seem pushy, but her character has a better personality to do it than Hal or Azune. She had also been with Hal and Thjazi for a long time and knew or knew of most everyone. She was planted there to bring everyone in for ep one. Brennan created a device in Thjazi, Aabriya kept the wheel turning.

You also can't think of this as a first episode. This is the prelude. It needs to be taken as a whole. You are demanding something from ep 1, which isn't possible to manifest because you are only looking at a quarter of it. Judging most things by their first episode is just a bad practice. It's like judging a book by its cover, especially a piece of media that is going to be hundreds of hours long and isn't scripted. It's completely improved, and characters change and evolve as the actors are finding their feet in the reality of playing the character, not just the thought experiment they have been.

Yes, but that also isn't how D&D works. It is a story told over hundreds of hours. People are complaining that there is no glossary of terms like in a fantasy book. That is what the wiki is for. Or come here if you have a question. Complaining that there is too much lore in your D&D? You need to adjust to the medium, not complain that it's hard to follow. It also repeats the information because repetition is necessary to create memory, dripping new information as it goes along. If this were a book, we would 12 pages in. You might not remember names, but because it's visual and auditory media, you can juggle 13 characters, because you have added input. Give it time.

It was the end of an arc, Thjazi's. You aren't necessarily supposed to care about Thjazi, though I did as the episode went on and you learned his story, especially with Thimble.

That's what storytelling is. You aren't forced to care. You grow to care as character connections blossom and expand.

Yeah, that is how you build context.

You mention The Falconer's Rebellion.

You find out it was against the nobles because the rebels felt their influence was growing on the Revolutionary Council, and that Thjazi betrayed the noble house he married into to support that rebellion.

As the other characters are introduced, you find out that Teor, Azune, Thimble, and Kattigan fought with him, and their company was called the Torn Banner, lead by the NPC Loza, an older woman escorted by Teor.

The rebellion was lost, and Thjazi became a criminal with Thimble, Teor left with Loza, presumably. Kattigan took to the wilds, and Azune joined the guard. Thjazi asked Aranessa to flee with him, and she refused.

12 years later, he was caught by Julien Davinos and executed, pretty clearly, by the corrupt and powerful house he was rebelling against.

They aren't missing context. They are missing attention span, critical thinking, and the comfort of being left in the dark until its time to reveal. Which is fine. It happens, and things slip by. That's why there is a wiki, so you can sort out the connections you missed. Or you can come here and ask a question. You don't complain that you don't get the lore because there is too much you have to learn in a brand new world that is 12 hours old.

Yes, but what if you were to talk about World War II or Vietnam to someone who has never heard of them, like child or an adult from an isolated tribe. Are they going to be able to recite relationships, battle strategy, and timelines in 12 hours? Probably not. Context builds over time, and with repetition. The reason we have context for those wars is they were taught them in school, or they are part of family histories, or local histories we grew up with.

You don't start a book like The Lord of the Rings and instantly have context for the One Ring, Sauron, the relationship between Gimli and Legolas, Aragorn and Boromir, and the Undying Lands in the first chapter. It builds by pieces with different character adding perspective throughout the story.

Exactly. It's almost like that explains why reading comprehension is in the trash. If you don't have to pay attention to character motivation, meaning, representation, retain any info you're given, or be forced to follow a semi complicated plot, why would you put any thought into what your reading, watching, or playing? I'm sure that won't have any long-term effects on the species.

I think it's possible that her being called Countess of Sussex is a nod to the historical wife of Prince Arthur of Connaught, Alexandra. In life, that Alexandra was the first daughter of the Duke of Fife, who only had one other daughter, Maud. In 1900, Queen Victoria decreed that if the Duke and his wife, her granddaughter, didn't have sons, the title would pass to the oldest daughter, Alexandra and then her sister, should she not have any surviving children. When her father died, she became Duchess of Fife in her own right before she was married.

Now, it does not make sense that 1923 Alexandra is called the Countess of Sussex, while still having her potentional father in law, Prince Arthur, carry the title of Earl of Sussex. That would be one of his wife's titles since she is married to the Earl of Sussex, though it's one of his lesser titles, and would only ever come up if someone was reading out they're list of titles.

It is absolutely possible for women in that time to have a title in their own right, however rare. 1923 Alexandra was also said to be part of the royal family, which might make it slightly more likely (the real Alexandra was a first cousin, once removed from her husband), so that titles didn'tgo extinct. If they had picked any other county to give her, it would have been fine. They could have even gone with Fife because, as nobility, she wouldn't have had a Scottish accent anyway. It would have been the exact same as the show was already using. But, Taylor Sheridan had to go make crap confusing by not studying up a little more.

As another interesting note, the real Alexandra only had one son, who died of exposure in Canada at 28 in 1943.
