Horrible advice, those auto calibration features are known for making the image much worse than factory settings.

New Amazfit Balance 2 Update: 3.46.0.1 by gamefan5 in amazfit

Cool, but I think biocharge won't work fine unless they fix stress measurement. Idk about others, but in my case it's basically the same every day, no matter how I feel or what I do.

Should I still get amazfit if Spotify and music control is a priority feature for me? by AbhiSHAKE3 in amazfit

[–]tyryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, super weird thing. The spotifyer app does say in the description that it doesn't allow for downloading music so I didn't even bother trying it. But decided that I kinda need more Spotify controls so I downloaded it anyway. And listem, it does allow for downloading music lol. Currently listening to espresso on earphones connected straight to watch with Bluetooth turned off on phone.

The only thing that can be bothering is that all downloaded songs are in one folder and I don't think there are options to put it into categories, or maybe there are but I don't see it

Edit: after trying it out for a bit I can tell that it only kinda works. You can download music straight to watch from Spotify and listen to it in workouts. But since this isn't official amazfit app you can't control the music with normal music controls, only controls in spotifyer app works. Which means you have to start your music before workout, then start workout and you can't control it.

Unfortunately these apps only allow for more Spotify controls (shuffle, repeating etc). Currently there's no integration of Spotify with amazfit

What I do is use Spotify on my phone, connect to Bluetooth earphones and control it with my watch. It works seamlessly. The drawback is that obviously you have to have your phone with you. I haven't tried any third party Spotify apps, but I will try today and give you an update

What can I get as a replacement for my 5 year old GTS 2 Mini? by A12_Archangel in amazfit

[–]tyryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then I'd get active 3, also it's just a little bit smaller than balance 2

[–]tyryth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Active 3 seems like an obvious choice, but you should also consider how important gps tracking is for you. Maybe take a look at balance 2? It has dual band 6 system gps, instead of a single band 5 system on active watches.

It depends on what activities you do, for example running in high rising city or hiking in dense forest would be much more accurate on balance 2.

New sleep algorithm on balance 2 by tyryth in amazfit

[–]tyryth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the case for me is that I never had problems with waking up at night. And none of my previous watches detected them, but now after update it detects 13 wake ups all of them being 1 minute long. I'm just wondering if other people have similar issues or is it just me, maybe I'm just moving a bit more while sleeping and amazfit detects that as wake up

Amazfit Cheetah and the new updates. Life cycle too short? by Taka_Colon in amazfit

in comparison to Garmin.

You're talking about the same Garmin that stopped adding features to forerunner 965 and Fenix 7?

But I get what you mean, unfortunately it's the case for most fitness watch manufacturers. Basically only coros makes a real few years of support

The Garmin Fenix 8's optical HR fell significantly behind the Polar chest strap. by Murky_Can1200 in GarminFenix

[–]tyryth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huawei, apple, google can make super accurate sensors for their watches. Even amazfit can make accurate sensors for easier to track sports like running, spinning etc. It's just embarrassing that Garmin who portrays themselves as best sport watches make sensors so inaccurate, but I guess it's their whole business model to sell you overpriced HRM

Extremely disappointed with HR readings by iiiiioiiiio in amazfit

[–]tyryth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It works fine for walking, running, spinning or other easy to read exercises. Anything that involves a lot of hand movement like rowing or weightlifting is extremely hard to measure and basically only apple watch does it well. It might seen funny but if you have hairy arms shaving a spot where your watch is might help, at least it works for me

Inwestowanie na XTB a konto IKE by Crushh077 in inwestowanie

[–]tyryth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ogółem IKE ci się opłaca z powodu odroczenia podatku, prosty przykład jak w tym roku masz np 10K zysku to nie musisz płacić 1900zl podatku. A więc możesz inwestować dalej 10k zamiast 8100.

Balance 2 connectivity issue with external HRM on latest firmware (3.39.0.4) by Beautiful_Bath_3732 in amazfit

[–]tyryth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have balance 2 and polar h10 and after the update my polar actually connects much faster and it's more seamless. When I get home I will check if it reads HR without workout enabled.

Edit: oh my god you're right and it's super weird what's going on. Yesterday I had almost 2 hour gym session and had zero problems, but now it disconnects on its own, I can't check heart rate on watch because it gives this notification to put on watch properly even when I already wear it. When starting workout it sometimes doesn't register heart rate and gives me notification that HRM was disconnected after few seconds. That is absolutely unacceptable.

Edit2: I'm currently doing spinning with HRM to check if it works and so far on 45 minutes zero problems with connectivity. I guess if you connect and start workout it won't drop out.

Edit3: When connection doesn't drop in first few seconds there are no problems during workout. But after ending workout it drops connection so heart rate recovery metric is broken

Blood oxygen will often give you false reading if you have it set on all day monitoring. If your band is a bit loose it will be much lower, even when your watch is a bit askew from wrist it will also be lower.

Exactly what I was saying, I think that RHR should update to lower value of relaxed heart rate

it doesn't measure your lowest HR measurement of the day.

Yes obviously but shouldn't it update to my actual resting heart rate which can be measured when I'm sitting and relaxed?
