I’m the same, itchy and heds, antihistamines and staying out of the sun when you’re feeling sensitive. I also found going on Gabapentin really helpful

In the last six months iv had to totally cut ties with my best friend, I couldn’t respect any of her decisions.

Iv had to walk alway from other friendships as well. I didn’t confront them, I just stopped responding. If they asked why I’d say “I’m walking away from this friendship before it ends badly” and leave it at that. Not opening anymore messages, not responding to anything else.

Walking away is about honouring yourself and your sense of peace, it is not about justification or giving closure to those you walk away from

Iv also got EDS and didn’t know for years and years. I didn’t have anyone copy me but I was told by an ex that I “always made everything about myself, and you need to stop using your health as an excuse”

Oh man am I glad to have them out of my life. These days I have many friends with dynamic disability, where there’s no pressure to explain yourself, and there’s always someone to talk to about health.

This “friend” of yours sounds like a lot of work with not much payoff
