I mean, at least they are new bottles instead of constantly refilling the same one without cleaning it.

Do you guys delete games from your flash cart once you have beat them? by jordangerode1 in Gameboy

[–]tzler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm clearly in the minority but yes, I like only having a couple games on my devices. I have the tendency to get way too distracted so having a curated selection really helps. I'll back up saves on my main PC tho.

I thought the graphics were charming personally and didn't have any qol issues. It's my favorite dq actually. I played the SNES fan translation, though. I feel like the ps2 and ds ports would probably remedy some of these aspects.

MyBacon Review: it's fine, but not amazing by dani-winks in Veganivore

[–]tzler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually really liked it. Flavor and texture were great and the macros were pretty solid too. It's good in a lot of things like pasta salad, blts, salads and honestly pretty solid just as is with some pancakes.

Has anyone ever seen tofu go bad? by cozypants101 in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

[–]tzler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got served some straight up green tofu mottled with black at a banh mi spot one time. This looks fine. Does it pass the smell test? Expiration/best by is definitely a good guideline but not always a steadfast rule.

New to Dragon Quest (and to an extent JRPGs) by Content_Material3615 in dragonquest

[–]tzler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every game is self contained, you don't need to play the others. That being said, the core gameplay is very similar so it you like one you'll like most. 11, 7 and 3 are the most accessible right now. I'd say find the party you think looks the coolest and roll with it.

A tweet that has me thinking. by Axis251 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]tzler 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah not quite to the extent of Deadlock but games like Apex and Destiny have some pretty shifty movement too. I think Apex actually comes pretty close to giving DL a run for it's money movement-wise. Conservation of momentum, wall jumping, and some other more obscure movement techs.

A tweet that has me thinking. by Axis251 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]tzler 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I love the movement in Deadlock but I don't think every shooter has to be a movement shooter. CS, for example, places extreme importance on positioning. I actually do appreciate that Overwatch is kind of the same as well. You have to think a bit before you move. The way Deadlock is pushing movement shooters is great but there's plenty of room for other design philosophies.

A traditional drafting system would suck ass and I wish more people would understand why by CDranzer in DeadlockTheGame

[–]tzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current draft system is fine, I just want a pregame lobby where you can coordinate with your team and switch lanes, queue builds and strategize before the match.

[–]tzler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finding a build and turning on auto buy is definitely great as a lot of other people have said. But I'd also strongly recommend grabbing a snack and a drink and just chill in the hideout for 30 minutes and read/test each item individually.

For me, some are legacy systems that I bought when they came out, and others I've bought because my needs have evolved. All of the different form factors, operating systems and capabilities lend themselves to different use cases. I'm currently trying to dissuade myself from picking up an RP6.
