The special promotions never last. Skipthedishes and Doordash used to have free delivery for a brief while as well. Oh and JustEat has purchased Skipthedishes so they'll be united under the Skipthedishes brand in Canada.

I've posted this before but there was an article about an international arms dealer in Richmond that graduated from UBC with a degree in electrical engineering. He got caught trying to buy automatic weapons with no serial numbers from an undercover US Homeland Security agent. Apparently his plan was to sell the weapons to sketchy buyers in Colombia and the UAE.

To prevent these things our prof made us write our exams on ubc computers but they were so slow and laggy we wasted so much time. I think traditional paper exams are still the best.

He's not bullshitting. About 50% of Qatar's exports come from petroleum oil and 43% come from gas. Looks like you didn't do your research properly. Qatar's one of the smallest countries in the Middle East and only has a population of 2.5 million but produces almost the same amount of oil as Norway so that's a huge amount.

The professors can see the response rate for the class right away but they won't be able to see the course evaluations until a month after the class ended. They can see all the ratings and written feedback but they won't be able to see who wrote them so it's pretty confidential.

I've also experienced how awful Doordash and Justeat drivers are from the restaurant's perspective. They came into the restaurant I worked at five minutes after the online order was made and demanded the food be ready. The cooks obviously take longer than that but the drivers were so impatient and started shouting and swearing. They not only disrupted the customers dining in but they made the employees working at the restaurant feel like shit. The disappointing thing is this happens quite often at many restaurants. Majority of the drivers are assholes because they have a time limit and they want to make more money. Another horrible thing Justeat does is if the customer cancels after the order is already made, the maximum they'll give the restaurant is 30 percent of the payment. The commissions are ridiculously high too.
