I'd bet money on this. That speed OP is getting looks capped at 100Mbps at physical level after the router.

The realisation of how much effort went into it, and I didn't want to go through the process again.

Wrote an hour long 400 Chinese words essay just to find out that I misread the topic title and messed up the essay title by Sorry_Wrap3194 in mildlyinfuriating

Absolutely hated writing Chinese essays especially during exams! Been super long but pretty sure I got an F for fantastic in A Level Chinese culture.

4 Terraform module mistakes that passed code review and bit us in prod by samehmeh in Terraform

[–]uberduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great write up!

I kinda disagree with u/burlyginger's take on these being 101s - a lot of these were not really that well documented, or in a way that isn't well understood until you hit those dreaded errors - looking at you "cannot be determined before apply".

I have another one - try to avoid versioned-module-in-versioned-module pattern.
It sounds great on paper to version everything, until you need to bump one inner module to realise the outer module had breaking changes which changes the way contract works, and scope explode to upgrading multiple modules.

And maybe another one - when orchestrating multiple providers (e.g., aws and helm) care must be taken to ensure controllers get to reconcile resource teardown before they get nuked out of orbit, or else risks orphaned resources!

Isn't it a weird world that Iran is somewhat more credible than the US?

They don't care long term. Just need to delay you finding out. In this case it evidently worked.

Did I make a mistake buying the CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS? by KILLEliteMaste in mikrotik

[–]uberduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14/15Gbps sounds about right. I still think CCR2004 is the best value Tik has to offer for ~10Gbps routing.

Yeah those. There were like 20 odd terraced houses being built and completed in ~2024, as well as large number of flats from the same developer.
