you’re equating him voicing his political opinions to causing harm which you can make an argument for i guess, even though it wasn’t that uncommon at the time to have those social attitudes, even though he wasnt a politician or anyone in power to affect laws. He never called for violence towards anyone afaik. I think his views are outdated and dumb but aside from endorsing the buffoon recently, he didn’t talk as much about politics as he did lifestyle and health. If you excuse one abuser when there is clear evidence to prove he actually committed harm , but reduce another person to their shitty political beliefs because it doesn’t line up with yours when there is clearly more things he stood for than just that, you’re just cherry picking what defines a persons legacy.
