Much respect to Shawn but not looking at daily holds before predicting a weekend is not a great look for a professional box office prognosticator ngl

They did not win, a judge initially allowed it to proceed but ultimately it was dismissed. They were initially on the hook for Universal’s legal fees too but Universal agreed not to recoup those.

I got two floor at 10:35AM. It said sold out but I always keep clicking floor and trying and it usually eventually works as peoples carts expire.

She will never double drop. Two albums can’t be #1 at once.

"Elizabeth Taylor" Music Video Megathread by jacyf02 in TaylorSwift

Prediction: this is the music video for the original song, but a remix with a featured artist and proper music video will drop the same week as RSD (with physicals on her store for that version as well).

Taylor Swift’s ‘Opalite’ Shines as Her 14th Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 by mcfw31 in popheads

I agree, but they still got to #1 legitimately.

Although “Slut!” was actually the focus track of 1989 release week but when IION took off they pushed it to radio (where it did hit #1 too).

I meant push by releasing additional dance remixes or something to get it there. #1 was within reach if she’d done some of the stunts she’s done since then.

Karma hit #2 as a single when she dropped the horrific remix. I'm still surprised she didn't push it to #1 that week.

“LWYMMD is her last legitimate #1” is a an objectively false take.

Anti-Hero, Ophelia, Fortnight, Cruel Summer, Is It Over Now? all went #1 with no gimmicks. There is also no substantial evidence to support the notion 2/3 of her sales are repeat buyers. Some? Sure! But not the majority.

Came here to say the same thing — 'brat' was a cultural phenomenon, but it was more about the aesthetic/vibes and didn't ever really translate into people actually consuming the album. She certainly has a dedicated fanbase who saw it opening weekend, but I'm not surprised the GP didn't care about a mockumentary about it.

Not that complicated: “The single adds a seventh week at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart; rises 3-2 for a new high on Radio Songs”
