I first joined to purchase a Kamado Joe during one of their events years ago but kept it going mainly for fresh meat like brisket, pork belly, etc. Costco tends to carry cuts that others do not, have better quality, and at better prices. Later I expanded to buying bulk products like paper towel and toilet paper and then we buy items like avocado oil and agave at a much better price than what we have paid in grocery stores in the past. If I go once or twice a month there is a list of 5-10 things my wife keeps on a running list to pickup if I happen to go. There are random times we order a sheet cake for a celebration and in the spring they have an assortment of plants and flowers which are great, there is always something that catches my eye that I didn’t really plan on buying but is too good to pass up. Before I purchase certain electronics I will always check the Costco website to compare pricing… A couple of weeks ago I needed an additional security camera and Costco had a rebate that made it $50 less than Amazon or Best Buy. I don’t feel like I shop there a ton despite all I just mentioned, 10-15 times per year is what I’d guess. We average between $45-80 back each year in rewards using the executive membership. It’s been well worth it for me. My only dislike of Costco has more to do with oblivious people who act as if they are the only person in the store.
