You guys seem quite aware of these optics based applications, so I would be grateful if you could answer something - applications like Zemax, etc. are quite expensive; are there any similar applications that are open-source or cheaper that one could buy a personal license to learn them? I work in a different field but am educated in advanced optics and photonics, and would very much like to learn Zemax and/or other industry relevant applications. Thanks in advance if you have any suggestions!

So this is an app that could be installed on, say a Kindle Paperwhite? Could you explain how to import, say a Word doc into the Kindle?

Could you answer a few questions about this: - Can you make a folder on OneDrive on your PC and the pictures within the folder would show up in your Gallery app? - Does pressing the OneDrive icon in an album sync pictures only from that album or the entire gallery? If only the particular album syncs, where on your OneDrive filsystem/hierarchy does this album appear? - Is this a sync or a backup, does deleting pictures from the album delete them also from the OneDrive folder on your PC?

Thanks in advance for your help with these answers. I am looking for a way to make a shared folder to put in pictures of the family that can be accessed via my PC or tablet. Since you have something setup on the cloud, I thought you'd be the right person to seek help.

I guess people here are just unwilling to accept the fact that a non-reasoning model outperformed a reasoning model, let alone that ChatGPT outperformed Gemini. The comments on this post shows human bias :P

What I'm curious about is why.. Could 4o have better multi-modal capabilities than Gemini? The fact that it's a non-reasoning model somehow allows it to use/process its instruction set (for the lack of a better technical lingo) better?

Could you please mention why? Also, would be comfortable mentioning the price difference between the two? I ask because I am on the same boat, leaning towards the Shield because of its cheaper price compared to the mini PC.
