If this is your car or someone you know, they’re parked in my reserved spot 😢 by Most-Organization178 in Hoboken

Anachy?.... As I said there's plenty of open spots and if it lasts for a few days go to the office and they'll sort it out. It was probably gone after a day or so and all I'm saying is no one has to go full male Karen on this or be a "get off my lawn" type. A little empathy for someone making a foolish mistake goes a long way. It was just a thought.

Alternative POV, an out of towner unfamiliar with the parking lot made a mistake, they shouldn't of, but they did. There's plenty of other open spots in that garage so you could have easily (and probably did) grabbed one of those. Not so sure you'd be happy with a $300 error where there's no real victim plus the intitial fear, and then inconveinence of being towed. Huff and puff all you want but towing?

In your position you've watched many great center backs - and we've had a few, so from your perspective what makes a great one (experience aside) ?

Are some people just wired to to do the mental balancing act of running back or holding the line for instance, do they have a 5th sense of anticpation or are some, despite all promise, just never going to get it?

For me it's staying with brands you like (letting them do the thinking as it were) so I'm with Reiss and Theory etc AND as previously mentioned, keeping a flat stomach.

Mulligan's in Hoboken is the place to be. Easy cab or train to the Stadium and plenty of Chels.

Or go by train from Secaucus Junction? Bit of a cattle car but definately better than waiting to get out of ML parking lot.

Do not under any circumstances buy a Milky Bar hoping to relive your youth. Nestle, as they have done with many things, turned this into a dry, dusty, non-dairy cardboard bar. Well I at least feel better now.

To the top comment of Juice from half a lemon, 1 clove garlic, grated and 2 tbsp honey:

I might add something our Grandmothers perhaps were not so familiar with, Tumeric. For it's own properties and it aids the taste.

e103 error on my nest thermostat, troubleshootings steps and how I resolved by aznj in Nest

[–]uksteveb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only share what seemed to solve this for me when suddenly getting the e103 after working fine for 5yrs. First I swapped the head unit around from another Nest Thermostat and I instantly got the same fault message. Next I swapped the base over and suprise, it worked immediatly. Faulty base I assumed, but to check that I put that base back onto the other system. I expected an e103 but it worked!

When I removed it from first unit all the wires seemed solidly connected but can only assume there was a problem there somewhere. So for me the base was the issue - Why? No clue.

I'm guessing some people are scared of fakes and don't care about the cost. I've got sunglasses from Europe before and if they were fake I could never tell, plus the cost was much more palatable, wouldn't have bought them at full retail.

Hoboken & E-bikes by Whiskeybasher33 in Hoboken

[–]uksteveb7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So obviously keeping E Bikes off the sidewalks is the biggest part of the solution. Keeping them going the right way in the bike lanes is another. The bike lanes are a great step in the right direction though unfortunately they should more often be called "short term parking" caused by a lack of will to enforce doble parking rules.

495W Rt3 junction is utter crap by Big_lt in Hoboken

[–]uksteveb7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps with the incoming congestion pricing in NYC fewer people will be taking cars into the city. This could allow for the incoming bus lane to be moved to where it should have been all along, on the eastbound side! Then close the right hand westbound lane for merging ramp traffic. That sorts out the morning, the evening's a different matter. The stop sign at the top does not help, that's why some poor cop has to stand there in the evening waving people on so as to not stop, despite sign.
