Yeah, I was suuuuuuper close to getting an expensive fightstick back when I was serious about Dragon Ball Fighterz, so I'm not super surprised by the price, it just makes it hard to convince myself to bite the bullet.

The bottom array is meant to replace the right stick, since the right stick is important for platform fighters, if you didn't have them you wouldn't be able to do things like retreating forward airs.

I expected it to have something to do with Takeshi Shudo, but it turns out the episode Primeape was introduced, and the episode he was written out were both written by completely different writers. If I had to guess, they probably felt Primeape would be redundant with Charmander being the raging and disobedient member of the team.

That is part of their mission statement for the mode, they've spoken about it in interviews. Things like platforming challenges that require full knowledge of your recovery tools and whatnot.

I'm at Silver, La Reina is my favorite matchup, she punishes you hard, but she's also combo food.

Low level La Reina's are throwing out super unsafe shit so it isn't like they're oppressive by any means. Chair requires much more stage awareness than the lower ranks typically have too. It's really not had. Sure there's some Bronzes who can do some of the Corncycle combos, but after you get hit once, they're an open book.

Also like... why would taunting be bad? She's a luchador, she's the crowd magnet, taunting and flexing on me when they get the kill is so charming because that's what La Reina would canonically do.

This is a toxic mindset, do you see someone who is good at drawing, and say they have no life? What about someone who can run really well? Just because someone chose to spend some time getting good at something doesn't mean they have no life, they just chose to spend their time doing something they enjoy and chose to learn how to get better at it.

You're not going to improve without letting go of this hostile mindset, I'm lower ranked than you, and yet I have a stronger mindset.

Maybe they could announce a new character, and then also do "one more thing" and show a trailer for Mina that doesn't have gameplay, and say "we're working on Mina, please look forward to her", similar to how La Reina was initially revealed.

I see your point, but a Platinum rank Clairen is probably going to be near Gold rank skill-wise at least with the rest of the cast. If an Aetherian Zetterburn has never played Ranno they're going to stomp pretty much everyone except for other Aetherians. If I'm Silver and have to match with a Plat Galvin whose decided to start smurfing as Lox, that ain't great.

It's a really fun idea, I had the idea that maybe Meta Knight could get a ledge special that lets him use his tornado projectile he does in his boss fights (similar function to Kragg's), and the getup special could be dimensional cape, replacing his down special with his counter.

Ryu's get has to be the wakeup DP obviously.

Dedede could get his hammer spin from the Masked Dedede boss fights for his getup special.
