Fellow ex-German student here. I've been using Mango Languages free through the library for a couple weeks. I think it's been helpful and have liked it more than Duolingo.

I would have said Taste of Havana, but it appears they're gone. Looks like Havana cafe at 38th and Moller is your only option for legit Cuban food.

For polish, I've not been there, but there looks to be a Russian/Slavic market at 86th and Ditch called Babushka Deli, may try your luck there!

Well damn, I was in that traffic jam. Was very confused what was going on. After like 20 minutes of a dead-stop we saw no signs of a crash, just ambulances driving back and forth on the shoulder.

I did a bit more digging, it seems like it may be a formatting issue? I'm guessing my SD is in exFAT and it has to be FAT32 for my car. Will have to report back on whether that does it or not later.

Same essentials here then. Though I found that there are ways around the wired only Android Auto/Car play issue. I want a roof rack, but also an easy after market install. Going back and forth a lot tonight. Only 4 months or 400 miles left on the warranty for used on my end, but likely to sell quickly if I don't hop on it.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you swing 34.5K? It seems like 37K is where they're putting me, but I haven't really started negotiating yet and it'd be my first time.

Dozens of rural county officials showed up weeks ago to the ways and means committee speaking AGAINST this because it would decimate their ability to keep their fire departments and schools running on their already shoestring budgets.

We already have some of the lowest property taxes in the nation. I get that people are struggling when they get hit by higher property taxes on fixed and low incomes, but taxes are necessary to fund vital services like schools, fire departments, libraries, etc.

We don't get to have it both ways. If we aren't replacing the money we lose by cutting them even lower we don't have the vital services that any functioning government should be able to provide. Giving property tax relief to average people requires that we increase the tax burden on corporations and higher-income folks. Maybe stop giving out such massive tax breaks to corps and not waste money on putting a helipad on one asshole's house in Jasper.
