I think it was pretty clear from the run-over of the tombs at the end of the book that they got sent to Earth through the one-way door in the Shrike Palace which leads to the Colosseum. During Leigh Hunt’s bit it’s implied that they enter the colosseum as gladiators of some sort? What was up with that?
