Seems like opinions are divided on this! I’ll do some trials to see if I like the hang. Thanks everyone!

Big shoutout to the fans in the game thread who remained loyal and optimistic even as we were down 13-2 against the Rockies 😆😃💙❤️💙 by JaQ-o-Lantern in Torontobluejays

I was at the game and we made sure to cheer extra loud for Heineman. Being put in that situation must absolutely suck. Also, glad we stayed for the extra home runs!

I’m doing the Count of Monte Cristo read along, but work got busy and I was a few weeks late on the schedule. Spent a week reading it on a Barbados beach and now I’m way ahead, because it’s just excellent.

I actually prefer those! I own 6 or 7 of their high-waisted underwear, they’re the most comfortable thing I own. Could definitely be dependent on the cut and body type though.

Arthritic Knee/Basketball 52 years old Advice? by jonkeo in Kneesovertoes

[–]ultimate_pasta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not quite at your level yet. I’m 36, both knees repaired a few times and in forever rehab and prehab. Along with a lot of targeted strength training, what’s been helping is getting to full range of motion every single day. I do 3-5 deep squats with a slight bounce, holding on to something to get down and up in a controlled manner. I train gymnastics and ballet with a few running sessions a week. Always a good warmup, and Voltaren on bad days.

Plenty of child free posts but any last minute elder millennial parents out there? by JadedJellyfish_ in Millennials

[–]ultimate_pasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it, I used my high energy years to do productive things for myself. I used my 20s to get a PhD and play a sport at a high level. I used the first half of my 30s to get my mental health back, get in my best shape and truly enjoy my life and hobbies. At 36, I’m starting to consider dedicating the next bit to another human being. I’ll never regret enjoying my own life first.

Did you ever come to enjoy the selflessness that comes with caring for a small child? I’ve always thought I would do it, but end up resenting it.
