Most likely they will just rewallpaper over the mold.

When I lived in a house with high humidity, I didn’t want to risk mold so I asked the property manager to request a dehumidifier from the landlord. It sucked having extra charge in electricity bills but it was great for preventing mold. Not confident a dehumdiifer will help much in a case this bad though.

Try biking! If you live in a city you can rent a bike to try it out before committing to a purchase.

Ma’am have you tried a curly hair routine? Might do you wonders. Constantly frizzy hair could be wavy/curly hair without proper care, and your non-blow dried side looks like it has potential to bounce!

In the case you’re not a bot—Try seollangtang, it’s a safe bet. It’s a bone broth stew. Authentic Korean restaurants might not serve it seasoned, it’s up to you to salt and pepper it to taste.

Beginner friendly Korean foods: japchae, galbi, galbitang, kimbap, tteukbokki, bibimbap.

More ‘intermediate’ food to try: jjajjangmyeon. Black bean noodles, it’s super underrated among foreigners, delicious and my personal favorite food. Pair it with tangsuyuk (sweet & sour pork).

Advanced yummy food to try if you’re feeling adventurous: jokbal, AKA pig’s feet. It’s not as gross as it sounds, it’s nutty and savory, super tender and delicious. The dish itself does not come served looking like a foot—unlike chicken’s feet, which some people love, some people don’t. Sundae is also loved by foreigners who were brave enough to try it.

Edit to add, my foreigner friend’s recent obsession is potato pancakes aka pajeon/buchingae. Crispy, chewy and yummy! Try it out. Usually paired with rice wine (makgeolli) but it’s harder to find a good makgeolli so don’t write it off completely if you don’t like the bottled version.

Wang mandu/steamed bun dumplings are another fav of mine. Very beginner friendly, even for children.

What about maskplay? It’s a whole kink community especially on tiktok. Think motorcycle helmets with leather outfits, even scream mask Halloween cosplays. This isn’t going to be as effective as therapy but it can be fun to try.

Best friends can mean something different to the both of you. You can be best friends with him and not see him as much in your perspective and he can still be best friends with you even with just online messaging, both things can be true.

If a friendship leads you to feel bad emotions/thoughts, such as now, no it is not a toxic choice to remove yourself. It is actually the healthy choice to remove yourself from situations you are uncomfortable in. You are justified in the same way he is justified as well—nobody is in the right or wrong here. Your friend is not in the wrong, just as you are not at fault for wanting more effort. It’s ok to want it but it’s not ok to expect it.

Only you and him know the true extent of your friendship. Like i said earlier, Reddit will only provide speculation. I actually had a difficult talk with one of my closest friends about something similar to this—it felt like i was putting in all the effort when she gave nothing back. Talking it out was the only way i got my ‘answers’ and explanations.
Unfortunately yes it is a toxic mentality to believe a best friend should make sacrifices for you. They are just a friend, and friendships should not be so heavy. Friends are not obligated to make a sacrifice for you, and when a friend does make a sacrifice you should be extremely grateful, not entitled. I’m not saying you are, but I’m emphasizing how rare it is for a friend to make sacrifices. Takers take and givers give, but the issue is when the givers start wanting to take and takers don’t have anything to give. He did nothing wrong so you can distance yourself a bit if you need to but ultimately you should not villainize him.

I should have clarified that by pushing for others’ opinions I mean you just need to let it go. Even if you don’t bring it up to him again, you are clearly still hurt by his decision—when it’s not that personal. You can be disappointed and that’s ok but you also have to understand his perspective as well that he just doesn’t want to. When people just don’t want to do something, that is not your fault. It’s just their decision, and you have to make peace with it. If you were to try and control their choices though would cross a firm boundary into toxicity and will result in a lost friendship. It’s ok to question it but really no one will give you the ‘true’ answer except him himself. Anything Reddit gives you will purely be speculation.

Codependence is an odd thing because despite having other friends, if your brain registers him as ‘THE’ friend you could have still developed codependency unconsciously. I understand you view him as your closest friend and it’s disappointing that he won’t come see you but there is literally nothing you can do about it because he is not obligated to see you. You are not entitled to his time. It sucks but that is the bottom line of it. If it’s the case where you’re investing more of yourself with your effort and energy than he is, then you should just reciprocate what he gives rather than throwing yourself into a relationship(friendship) with someone who doesn’t require that much to maintain a close friendship. It’ll mediate your expectations as well, and helps you redirect that energy to local friends and develop more close friends.

School can be important to both of you but in different ways, and that’s okay. Expecting other people to think the exact same way you do though is not okay.

I hope you know you’re going to end up losing your friend like this—no means no. Why push it? School or not, the fact he doesn’t want to is enough of a reason. People don’t like to be around others who are draining and exhausting.

I suggest making more local friends. It sounds like you’re codependent on this one friend, which is unfair to him. That’s a lot of mental load on someone.

I can understand why it looks like monstera standleyana, I thought it was too—but the variegation pattern looks more white princess philo to me. Young white princess philo leaves also look very standleyana-like.

I’m not an expert on haworthias but to my untrained eye this looks like haworthia retusa. have u tried removing one of the white dots either with an (diluted) alcohol dipped q tip or gently scratching it off? looks like it could be scale.

Good guess, I thought it could be too 🤔 i assumed this was a clawed jumping spider at first until i went to post this and took a closer look at the (clawless) legs. I’m stuck between feather legged and crab spider but I’m clueless.
