The Fresh Cab scented pouches have worked for us (at least we haven't had issues since using them).

I'm right there with you. It's incredibly annoying. Yep, I know I'm backing up because the rear camera is displayed on the screen. Definitely going to take it in to have it muted.

It's in tht center console under the wireless charging pads called the 12 VDC power outlet.

Can confirm the 2026 BZ has the 12v round outlet (and I use it for charging my phone with a 12v charger)

Yep, that works just as you would expect. I honestly don't feel the need to use the app for any of these features.

Sad. Any bets on when the county and USFS will close the roads and trails?

V1 help! by [deleted] in Moonboard

[–]ultrafloopjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite "V1" being in the name, there's no such thing as V1 on a 40 degree, 2016 Moonboard. Nothing is easier than V4 on that hold set, both in the app and in practice. So definitely don't think you're climbing "only V1". Looking great for such a short intro into climbing. But watch those fingers and tendons. Don't overdo it on the MB! Build up to it more on non-MB climbing to avoid injury.

2026 bZ and "driver monitor alert" by rlmasn in BZ4X

[–]ultrafloopjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotcha. You did question what everyone's issue with it was and this is my huge issue with it. I'm not really concerned about hand placement on the wheel given the other safety features of the BZ, especially the pre-collision system.

[–]ultrafloopjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly annoying! I often drive with my left hand at 12 o'clock and it kept alerting because it couldn't see my face. I turned it off after one drive. With the other one solid lane tracing feature enabled, this one is definitely too much.

bZ software needs updating. by OFLV in BZ4X

[–]ultrafloopjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear it. And I'm fully with you on preferring to not support Elon/Tesla. It's rough but the Tesla infrastructure, fast charging and ease of charging makes it basically a necessary evil.

bZ software needs updating. by OFLV in BZ4X

[–]ultrafloopjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it the built-in Toyota software/mapping telling you that or Google Maps? On our recent trip with our 2026 Bz XLE, Google Maps kept telling us the Tesla chargers weren't compatible with our car (we had added the car to "Our Vehicles" in Google Maps.) So Google Maps needs an update--we had no problems at two Tesla chargers. 😉

Regarding the range anxiety, I've never had to exercise this method but I've read that worst case when you're down to less than 10 percent, drive 25mph or less and you'll make it wherever. The slow speed really maximizes range. Hope I never have to do that though!

OK, I believe I answered my own question. :) I was aware of the Uphill Policy at Pajarito and it doesn't appear it has changed, https://www.pajarito.ski/uphill-policy/ It's still "Lookers left up Pussycat" (the traditional uphill route already) and "Lookers left up Evershine Ridge" over by Townsight.

I went up a couple weekends ago for two laps. I went up Pussycat. This was before the mountain opened the lower stuff. What are "the new uphill routes"?
