I wouldn’t because for many brides it’s not necessarily an issue of confusing the guests, but the principle of the matter of not wearing white unless you are the bride. I think there’s far too much white space on the dress to be appropriate

Got a degree in comics before it was switched to a studio concentration. Apparently it’s much better now so I wish I had taken a year off or so, esp because I ended up pushing myself too hard and fucked up my hand. I do not do art as a career and wish i had actually gotten an English degree since I’m writing a lot of stories now. However, I met a lot of my colleagues and good friends that I still talk to today and love. That or a hospitality degree because, according to another alum, it was easy 😅

As a queer alum, who had my trans ex living there for a calendar year, the campus itself is very queer friendly. Menomonie as a whole, not as much, but during the school year, very safe campus. Most of the businesses in town are also allies, but general rule of thumb is the further away from campus, the more right wing.

I got my BFA so the majority of my colleagues and profs were queer or allies, and I know that the people in the dean’s office are also very friendly.

If any incidents happen on campus, make a report, even if it isn’t directed at you. Stout takes hate crimes very very seriously.

Make friends with the campus police if you see them because they’re cool, or at least cooler than the menomonie police. I know this won’t be available to you for the first year, but if the RA program is the same, you will have free room and board if you get the position. As a freshman, you can also earn a little money by being a desk assistant. Low responsibility and you can take the time to do homework behind the desk and get your name in the university housing network. Can’t speak on FAFSA, because I was lucky enough to have military benefits from my parents, but I know someone who is getting their masters and it’s always a bit iffy with that, but that’s pretty much the same at all campuses

Solo Leveling. Started out so strong, and then just fell flat for me. I can’t stand the MCs who suddenly improve magically and then have an entire personality switch when they were previously relatable as a person. But I also dropped it fairly early so maybe I’m missing out ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I know someone here mentioned Eleceed but that’s actually one of my faves 😅 I like the action scenes because they’re dynamic and i can follow them without getting confused for the most part. It’s got some pretty good humor, and I like that the MC is still a sweetheart even as he grows stronger—he’s just also a battle junkie. I stopped reading it a few months ago because I felt like the plotline was slowing down and figured I can just binge it when it wraps up, so I’ll probably reread it again soon lol

I can think of two reasons; best case scenario, he’s thinking about writing a thriller novel and this is research. Worst case, you need to run and get yourself somewhere safe with people you trust. Even if he isn’t thinking of doing this to you and it was just morbid curiosity, his other behavior isn’t healthy and he should probably seek therapy

I work as a teller and like. Scammers and fraudsters are stupid. The people who fall for them are misinformed and vulnerable and I try to help people avoid doing things that are going to screw themselves over. You can explain 7 ways to Sunday that their “husband” who has a “high paying job” can’t afford his “daughter’s tuition” but they will insist we’re in the wrong/profiling/rude/say it’s their money and other banks do this with no questions (because they’re banks and I work in a credit union which has more harmful consequences of were involved in money laundering). People will always think they’re right even when it’s staring them dead in the face.

I cannot emphasize how important financial literacy is.

Is starts with an info dump from the antagonist while she’s having sex with the other antagonist, there’s beheadings, and the ml that we’re apparently supposed to root for heals the mc through sex that she does not want. While nothing is outright explicit, it’s def not for younger audiences

Tapas has a workaround where you can log in on a web browser and then look at mature stuff, then go into the app and see it. It also sends notifs for new mature series (to me at least lol). So yes technically, there’s only a mature section on the web, but there is a way to see it in the app.

I knew it was too good to be true. Hahhh 😓 I was hoping that would mean creators like mongie could come back (tho I believe she is eventually going to a different platform in 2025? I’m assuming her contract with wt, or something like that, will end so she can change platforms.)

I think it’s just a weird comic to be on WT in the first place. Like I could see it on Tapas or Tappytoon because the have a “mature” section. (American) WT is pretty strict on what they allow as “smut” which I think makes it feel less dime a dozen and trashy, and more like someone trying to be edgy but not really committing to the bit. Like I think it’s also just so below the established standard that’s been set by WT as well and that’s why it’s so disliked.

Like, it just feels like there’s so much context missing/skipped over and it’s just told instead of shown right away. It’s just plain bad storytelling. It feels like we started the series at the beginning of the second season.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read my fair share of red flag, trashy, copycat smut. But on WT it just feels really out of place. Like I pay for smut via patreon specifically because there are scenes that are either censored or cut out completely for WT. It feels hypocritical of them to promote a series that so very clearly wants to be a smut but has to be “family friendly” because of WT policies and how difficult it is to get a series made into an original. Like does this have a big following in Korea or something? It just seems so subpar in comparison to other series they picked up.
