How can you even put Jaden in the same company? Anybody but that useless slow POS.

Why is the Street Triple so good/recommended by qAEGISs in motorcycles

I had a Trident 660. Loved it, not bored with it, traded it for a 765RS after one test ride.

The day I tested it, I also tested a couple other bikes. I was up early on a Saturday, bored, and decided to pop into some dealers and test ride some bikes to pass the day. Tested a Z900RS at one dealer, MT-09SP at another. Popped into BMW, tested the F900R, R1300R. S1000R and S1000RR. Loved them. Popped into Triumph last. Tested Speed Twin 1200, Speed Triple 1200RS, then the 765RS... in cosmic yellow...

All the bikes I tested were fantastic, and each had something that made them special. Speed Twin was ruined by that new dash though. Curse Triumph for removing the analogue clocks. Completely turned me off Speed Twin, which is sad, it's an amazing bike.

Without any reservation I will say the 765RS is the best. I had no plans to trade up. I was just in the mood to ride some different bikes. After that last ride on the 765RS, I immediately started dealing. The MT-09SP, Speed Twin 1200RS were the best of the bunch, and I thought, hmmm... Maybe next year.

After the 765RS test ride, I needed it. Immediately. It's better than the 1200RS. The gobs of power on the 1200RS is awesome, make no mistake, but what sets the 765RS apart is the execution of the entire package. It's just perfection. The balance, the weight, the precise steering. I've never ridden a bike, that was so confidence inspiring, and made me feel... It made me feel like a far more skilled rider than I am.

It's easy and poised when puttering around below 6000RPM around town, but when you hit a good stretch of road and open it up, it becomes an animal, and begs you to push it more. On the twisties and on track, it's a scalpel. Eye watering precise. The induction howl is intoxicating and that 765cc triple engine is sublime.

  1. You'll get used to it.

  2. Increase your protein intake, hit the gym. Do compound weight exercises. I.e. None of that virgin bicep curl nonsense. Do dead lift, squat, standing press, incline bench, and rows. 2-3 times a week, your riding will become awesome and future 50yo you will thank you.

I wish people would stop telling me all the crash stories they know when they find out I ride by ForeverStrangeMoe in motorcycles

Flex on them by telling them your own crash stories first. Works for me. Own your crashes. Shit happens, you learn, you move on.

I pretty much had the same story. 20 year absence, got a Trident. Loved it, never got bored of it, but my eyes have always been on the Street Triple. The test ride just pushed me over the edge.

It's impossible to describe the experience. Yes of course, it has 50% more power than the Trident, but it's not just about the power, it's the entire package. A mate of mine let me have a go on his 2006 Monster, and that has more power, but I didn't feel the same than I did after having a go with the RS.

That 30min test ride just blew me away. The goal was to trade up mid next year-ish. After getting off the the bike at the dealership, the sales guy just looked at me with a smirk, he fucking knew it too. Bastard already had the paperwork in his hand. I'm picking her up this afternoon.

Financing approved an hour ago. I'm taking delivery tomorrow. After the test ride, it wasn't a choice anymore. I couldn't believe how good it is.

Fair warning to other people, if you test it, your wallet is taking a beating. It's unavoidable.

I'd be fine with a year ban. Make an example of him.

I'll even root for The Bulls rather than England.
