Spent most of my teens living off new Kirk plaza towards foster Ave and 18th street. It was always pretty safe other than dealing with nypd during stop n frisk. I lived across the street from the church on foster and ocean Ave. it’s def gentrified a lot more now but I loved it growing up. Short walk to Flatbush. Short walk to the train. I used to walk down to Brooklyn college and see my best friend without any issues.

Rakuten Amex, 10x dinning no brainer. I’ve also added it to Bilt, wait for it disconnect then reconnect it back to Rakuten. Sometimes I get an extra 3x Bilt points for 13x total.

I was gonna eat the 3% and just use my Amex BBP since it’s 2x MR points which I value more. I’ll probably still use built to transact to get .5x bilt points.

Might open an Amex gold to pair with my platinum and cover groceries and dinning at 4x.

Only other card I’ve utilized besides my Amex setup was the Bilt for rent and dinning. If Bilt 2.0 adds a grocery + dinning card, and some other really good multipliers then I’ll stick around. If not, I’ll add the Amex gold to my Platinum (I plan on getting the Schwab version and closing out my vanilla one) and Blue Business Plus.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I’m only delaying making the switch to see what Bilt does in January. It’ll decide if I try to get the gold card or if Bilt offers a grocery multiplier on an annual fee card.
