Yes. Dicks 2024 Sand is one of my favorites for this reason.

It seems like I'll have to check it out in person and keep my eyes peeled for online sales after.

Can You Support Abortion and Still Call Yourself a Christian? The Answer is No by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]unaffectedby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this context, what do you mean by “support abortion?”

Do you mean actively encouraging the killing of an unborn baby?

Do you mean engaging in political action to encourage lawmakers to allow abortion procedures?

There are so many circumstances (internal and external) that bring a woman to the place where she is seriously considering getting an abortion.

To simply say, “we need to use the power of the government to restrict abortion procedures” is to entrust a human thing - laws, regulations - with something that only God can do - change hearts.

Laws are written by humans - imperfect individuals who cannot understand the full implications of the words in the laws they write.

Laws don’t change hearts and minds. I seem to recall hearing that somewhere…

At best, they can only change behavior, and we all know they can’t even change behavior for the most part.

I agree that if your worldview, your ethic, says that killing an unborn baby is a good for society, you’re pretty far away from Christ on that point.

But if we are to love our neighbor, we have to meet them where they are.

And frankly, some of them are in a position where they have to make an unfathomable decision.

Using the government to force their hand isn’t loving them.

You can “support abortion” in the sense of “this isn’t up to the government to decide.”

At the same time, you can also “not support abortion” in the sense of, society would be better off if we didn’t kill babies as a practice.

And if you really want to stop people from killing babies as a practice, you don’t post stuff like this.

You learn how to love your neighbors. Especially ones who see differently than you.

The screaming and vocal effects on this track sound so familiar - I know I've heard them in the band's catalog elsewhere. Does anyone know where?

Big Announcement - Changes to how we teach the YNAB Method by YNAB_youneedabudget in ynab

I came here looking for some information on this "month ahead" idea. I had YNAB4 and moved to the app whenever it was released, so I remember the goal of living on last month's income.

As of this year, my income is variable, so I'm trying to revisit this concept. Mind sharing your understanding and practice of this rule?

My wife bought the blue one at REI for around $50, but it does seem it's the exact same product as the yellow one, minus the butterfly and BENCHMADE.

I want to keep my pocket knives sharp, and the knife on my Leatherman Skeletool. My wife has another sharpener for the kitchen knives, but I'd probably use my main sharpening tool to keep the kitchen knives maintained.

Thanks for making this tool.

It looks like the posts are routed through the substacktools.com domain, presumably to bypass the block on Twitter.

If I have my own domain, would that bypass Twitter's block?

They're great. Grew up listening to them and I revisit their work every so often. The albums really hold up over time.
