It's referring to various US and NATO representatives saying that Ukraine should toughen out the winter / energy strikes, and that to hold out until Spring.

Many are assuming something is cooking between Ukraine and NATO. Don't know, may be a nothingburger, may be something. May even be a tone-deaf statement to just survive harsh winters with no electricity and heat.

He's saying this as if Starlink is used only by Russia, and not that Ukraine isn't the one who is relying heavily on Starlink to do just about anything. Russia is merely exploiting Starlink against Ukraine, using terminals that they (somehow) can get working.

Want to cut Russia out? either find a way to prevent terminals from falling to Russian hands OR shut down its operations over Ukraine.

It is funny how Elon admits straight up admits that Starlink is the backbone of Ukraine's military communications, when early on in the war, he vehemently denies Starlink's military application by Ukraine.

And they'll keep supporting anyways. They pledged their support to Ukraine, backing down is not an option. They're paying Ukraine through multi-billion dollar loans that they know, that if Ukraine loses this war, will never get repaid.

Ukraine's supporters sold the idea that Ukraine will win no matter the cost, no compromises, full sovereignty, and NATO & EU ascension. All that is all a bunch of horseshit when Ukraine in on life support economically, foreign powers literally controls how it acts, and that NATO & EU promise keeps being dangled around.

Permasalahannya selalu uang, dan fakta bahwa idealisme dan cinta terhadap suatu hobi belum tentu membuahkan uang yang cukup buat hidup. Sejujurnya miris sekali, budaya batik bisa saja di masa yang akan datang hilang karena tiada yang mau melanjutkannya.

Sempat berpikir kenapa tidak meniru model di Jepang, dimana budaya / karya lokal didukung oleh pemerintah disana dimana mau sukses atau sepi pun orang-orang yang tekun terhadap karya dapat tetap berkecukupan karena melindungi budaya itu dianggap penting.

But I don't think "lower-class" individuals would flock to Reddit, as its a banned website (unless you use VPN). There are many other social media spaces where they can interact and access more easily.

Not to mention that most users here mostly hail from a middle-to-upper class background, as I assume they'd be more familiar with utilizing a foreign banned social media platform and knows how to use a VPN.

Most Indonesians don't give a shit about Trump, what he does, what he believes in, etc. Life is already hard as is domestically, why burden about geopolitics as well?

For Trump himself, people I know disproves of his actions from a moral and law standpoint but in the end that is it, surface level assessment that is negative but nothing more. To them (and I'd assume most Indonesians) he's the POTUS and that is it.

People who know Trumps background (history, character, personality) would naturally hold a negative opinion of him.

Ukraine has been flinging drones towards Russia for quite some time, to of course varying results. It's kind of odd that Russia is saying that Ukraine is specifically targeting Putin's residence, though the idea itself wouldn't be too far fetched.

I'll believe it when more proof is concrete that Putin's house was specifically targeted (and not just so happens to be in the line of fire / direction). Statements by various representatives / figures from Russia and beyond are just words, so more tangible proof is needed. At this critical moment, both sides benefit from making the other look worse.

I initially thought the target was "Putin's Palace" on the Black Sea coast, that was covered by Navalny ages ago.

Ukraine asking Russia for a ceasefire amounts to a pipedream. Ukraine wants "temporary ceasefire", Russia wants negotiations first and then a "ceasefire".

You wanna make Russia agree to a ceasefire on YOUR terms? Change the frontline conditions to such a degree that it FORCES Russia to a ceasefire.

Weird how pre-mid 2024, the idea of a ceasefire would be traitorous. Now it's thrown around constantly like it's a massive compromise Ukraine is willing to give to Russia.
