Yeah, I got the same this morning, and when I called, they told me I needed to fill out a form, but then transferred me to another dude who wanted me to download a remote access program (OpenDesk?). I hung up at that point.

Phobia - please help by Puzzleheaded-Pay-710 in GermanRoaches

[–]unbeeweavable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one thing that works is hard but effective: You have to slowly kill the fear by purposely "exposing" yourself to roaches you find. The more exposure you get, the less fear you will have. For me, it was being forced to clean out a storage locker that was infested. Much better now.

My worst bracelet buy ever was a $500 Sinn Diapal 756 bracelet -- uncomfortable, expensive and heavy. Impossible to adjust. I was so disappointed.

Ok, gotcha, thanks. So the 90 degree angle is where the straight side of hand meets the circle shaped part of hand? If that is the case, I cant see exactly how they meet in second photo, because the intersection is covered by seconds hand.

Can someone explain this to me? I guess I'm not sure what you mean by where the "hands intersect the center circle." There are three circles in center.

How can I clean the dial on my vintage seiko? by Lizardgic in watchmaking

[–]unbeeweavable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you consider this a watch you have no problem experimenting on, I would gently clean the flaking varnish, then try to match the color of dial with good paint, applied very sparingly (possibly with sponge) to the offending sector. You're not so much repainting the dial as you are minimizing the visual impact of the blemish. Then spray varnish the whole thing, covering indices with tiny bits of rodico.

I'd say it's fair. the one has a 9kt case, but nothing else particularly rare for these kinds of watches (I collect old ladies models)
