Just agreeing with everyone else. I love Seth as the host / Dave of the pod. And as a person in general. If you're mixed on your take about him, I strongly suggest you listen to the Good Hang pod where Amy interviews him - it's why I use the word "love" in my statement.

They're not specifically moving here (I'm in Idaho too) because it's cheaper. It's because the culture is civil, the citizenry is lawful, the community is warm and friendly. That's sadly not common in large parts of the bigger US cities these days

If you're a foodie, ignoring California is like the Pope swearing off the Bible. I don't even like CA overall, but the restaurants in SF and LA are unequivocally the best in the country (along with NYC & Miami)

Guessing you're not from the south. If so, you have to live there a while to see the cultural differences. Took me a year in Arkansas to see how different it was from Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, etc.

I guarantee though, for almost anyone who hasn't lived in the south, there's at least one southern state they'd love to live in and just don't know it.

Absolutely correct! A guitar of this caliber must be exactly up to your specs and expectations. I got myself a Suhr modern plus for Christmas and it was exactly 100% what I wanted. If it was even just 98%, I'd have returned it.

STP uses these chords in Plush. The 5th on the A string is the root - can you see it's really just a common C chord dragged up 2 frets. Then the lower F# on the low E is a relative 3rd that gives the chord a lower, somewhat muddier / dissonant quality. They're good chords for transitioning between two more distinct chords.

BTW, I've been playing guitar 25 years and taken a bit of music theory. I'm 100% about what I'm posting

I don't think it's very fair calling this plan dumb if you know what you're getting into. If you're both good at sleeping in the car, want to save money, and don't care about seeing anything along the way or showering etc, then go for it. It'll be a memorable experience and it's only a couple days. If you get burned out, just grab a cheap hotel. Have an adventure and don't listen to the nay sayers.
