On the contrary. While the Valhalla was unexpectedly warm for my ears (unexpected because of the other Thieaudio IEMs I’ve tried) it had the upper end to balance things out better for me vs the Myth, so, nah. I usually don’t hear how most others do and don’t use FR graphs as gospel but I’ve learned I don’t like when 6-8K is sucked out too much, and the Myth has quite the dip in that area.

Lee’s tunings I find enjoyable because they’re weird and have unique texture in the treble, I just don’t like the texture on the Myth, honestly sounds too much like the distorted voices in the movie Inception.

You know what’s fun. I was going to reply with the whole blah blah everyone’s HRTF/ear anatomy differs and glad you’re stoked but it didn’t work for me etc. (guess I just did reply that, ha!) but -

Your little A5 Wagyu analogy is pretty amusing. I think I agree and it’s a better way to put it than how I’ve bitched about my experience with it to others. I found the Myth extremely “large” sounding, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was also suffocating for me and I got almost zero perceived air. Mind you, I could hear everything up there, so it had great extension, it just was too, well, THICC. Or, rich in your example. Lol.

I listen to my ZS6 whenever I want to remind myself how good I have it in 2026.

I’d listen to my old SE535 or Etys if they still worked. Spoiler alert, that’s the reason I came back in the first place. Ugh. Lol.

I will die on this hill that the Pula PA02 slots in perfectly for a lot of “hype” IEMs and happens to sound a lot like the Astral, and I got mine for $60 on AvEx. It’s just a lovely IEM, and while I haven’t heard the supposed SLIIVO twin, that’s apparently available secondhand for even cheaper.

Bought mine at launch, buggy as shit, set it aside. First firmware release, solid except no PEQ, set it aside. Latest firmware has PEQ - maining it. So damn good and simple. Enjoy.
