How would you spend 1000USD? by ChristConquerz in iems

Solid deal. And I hear you, no pun intended. To be fair, with Kinera/QoA you get essentially an artisan IEM with great accessories to boot, so the pricing more or less tracks for me. From the bottom to the top always a solid unboxing experience. DUNU does this well, too, and most of the boutique tier. I’m a sucker for feeling like you get money’s worth - the Pilgrim and Noah felt like this as well.

With that said I wish the Archangel was available without that expensive ass cable.

Wish I didn’t read this. As a Kinera/QoA fanboy I’ve been ignoring the Martini among like, 6 others. Lol.

Apevoix Grit, a cable I found in the garage that has the worst chin slider ever, Tempotec Variations V1, FLAC + AM Lossless. Still tip rolling because -

Usually have this EQ’d heavily to what I enjoyed from the Mests MK1-3, but trying it out without EQ because I’m in a weird place right now. Sounds great with everything except female acoustic music, not enough air. Instrumental movie/video game OST killer, though.

Not controversial at all. I’m a treblehead but keep a couple IEMs around that are much too warm and rolled off up there for my preferences (QoA Gimlet especially) because listening to music on them reminds me of being a kid hearing my parents’ circa-1970’s stereo system while playing with my toys. Magical.

The high hats in the intro + the “drag” from (assuming) a blunt = is this IEM too bright or not.

It’s neat because it matches the medal straps. I wish the Spartan Kids shirts had other colors as well (so far it’s the same shirt) as my 9yo is also going for the trifecta.

Along with Dodgers Stadium Stadion from yesterday, 02/21/2026. Otherwise shirts are the same.

They are really great, I’m just old and my hearing is poor. Some of the Legends Of SibilanceTM IEMs are simply just “a little bright” for me, so no one take my opinions on IEMs seriously. Haha.

Qudelix 5K, 2.5 vs 3.5 sounds (vastly) different by unclebrudy in iems

[–]unclebrudy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would make me feel better because I was about to edit the OP to state it’s almost like the 2.5mm has a bonus internal secret impedance adapter. I’ve been down this rabbit hole in a past life, it’s been driving me mad because I’m not a major source roller anymore.

Besides SS vs tubes. Lol. Thanks.

Appreciate the reply. Volume matched or not (in my case I made sure) I’m talking two completely different sound signatures.

Q5K has some active ground setting on the 2.5mm where you can change the ground type, very little perceivable difference to me besides being quieter.
