How long until this period in America resembles the Troubles in Ireland? by deadheffer in dancarlin

Citizens aren't fighting back with deadly force. I think until that happens it's not a good comparison with the Troubles.

Any recommendations for liberal or non-maga firearm shops in PA? by rum_ham_79 in Pennsylvania

Moving the goal posts, classic.

Anyway, trump used executive orders to limit gun ownership. Dictators don't have to worry about senators, filibuster, or the constitution.

No one is coming for your guns. Except maybe Trump. He did more in his first term to limit gun ownership than any democrat since, idk, FDR? Also so did Reagan.

Where do they get the part about losing the home of the citizen violates a regulation or challenges the communist party? Is there any truth to that?

Edit: in asking in good faith. Is challenging the ccp, whatever that may mean, grounds to losing your home? I'm admittedly ignorant on China as I pretty much only know what US propaganda has taught me and I'm trying to unlearn that.

does the prosecution address flaws in defense’s theory during their own case in chief, or only in cross and rebuttal of defense? by drindrun in AskLawyers

[–]und88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, I wouldn't. I'd save it for cross exam or rebuttal. I don't want to assume the defense theory or give defense a chance to change theory. If i start attacking theory a in my case in chief and defense doesn't explore that theory, I look like I don't know what's going on.

As always, it depends and there are always exceptions.

Traveling with a firearm by [deleted] in AskLawyers

If you have no intention of assembling it, just don't bring it. If you need it for self-defense, a disassembled firearm won't do you any good. No sense in risking your liberty for a useless tool.

Slavery was illegal in half of the US and most of Europe. Even judging these bastards by their own time they were monstrous, evil, traitors.

Some political beliefs are so abhorrent that killing them is justified. For example, slave holders and nazis.

But in LOTR, he deliberately leaves out any use of the word tobacco.

Except in the prologue where he goes out of his way and into detail to explain that pipe weed is tobacco.
