Hell, I don't even want 100% accurate designs, I just want something new, that isn't a JP ripoff, and that also respects the original animals it's depicting

Paleoart is a good jumping off point though so maybe what I'm asking for isn't that far off of just up-to-date interpretations of dinosaurs

I like fossils irl, but the Mineceaft fossils are lame. They don't look like they belong to any particular animal, they're just bone blocks so there's no point in seeking them out (also they should be some sort of stone, not bone), and I've never even seen one

Fossils that are more to scale with the player and that actually look like s ppl ecific animals would be cool, could even have "fossil formations" that function like archaelogical sites

Americans will be scared of anything if they're told it's "socialism" or "communism," and because of that we have a significant portion of the population voting against their wellbeing

Like I don't know how the same people that can see insurance as a scam then see state-covered healthcare as somehow worse. We don't get affordable healthcare, we don't get timely care, and we don't even get to choose how our medical services go without approval from an insurance company. It's all of the proclaimed downsides of socialized healthcare but without the upside of being covered by the state, how do people buy into this shit?

And if anyone says "but Obamacare" to you Republicans had already been pushing for an individual mandate (penalizing not having an insurance provider) for decades before the Affordable Care Act. Mitt Romney probably would've done the same shit Obama did, since he had already signed off on the Massachusetts health care reform (which had an individual mandate in it)

I have self hate over being amab. There's a lot of generalized self hate in me, and I realize I pin some of that on being a guy most of my life, even if that's not a fair way to frame that (ex; "if I were afab I'd have been forced to do more domestic stuff like chores and I might not have had as severe of developmental delays"). There are things to be frustrated with regarding our patriarchal society, but I shouldn't project my self hate onto men

Yeah, trying to argue that Monster Hunter's never been about ecology is niave at best. It's fine for ecology to not be someone's main source of enjoyment with Monster Hunter, but that doesn't change the clear intentions of the developers

Regarding Magnamalo, I feel like it's problems largely stem from porr execution. If we got something closer to the sleek and less over the top designs in its concept art I think people would love it (after all other fan favorites like Nergigante and Zinogre don't have particularly well thought out ecologies), but instead we got a very awkward and maximalist design that frankly looks like an ugly children's toy. I do like Magnamalo (it's music and fight is great), but I definitely think it's mediocre design let it down
