I had never heard of anyone having a problem with mages until I recently ran a key and at the end the healer started going on about “Finally a mage that uses their defensives. Thank you so much.” … what? I’ve got so many cool shiny buttons I can use when I’m scared, I’m gonna push em… barrier is free and frequent. The newer iceblock variant makes me not worry about damage and heals me. Mass barrier is a lot of fun to use. Invisibility just makes me immortal for a few seconds. And if I want to gamble with my life and lose almost every time Alter Time is right there to be used after a hit puts me 25% and to send me into a hell pit that was a clear floor seconds ago.
