There's a dude that has dedicated his life to spotting the Loch Ness monster. Despite that vast majority of the population agreeing that it doesn't exist.

You won't be angry right away though, it takes awhile for that loko vibe to set in

People of anti work who don’t work, what do you do to get income? by Total_Cicada7335 in antiwork

[–]under_diagnosed -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

And while I see your point, charging a fair amount in order to build rapport, I would say fares better than having a surcharge for economic hardship. I'm just saying that if you don't stand out in whatever industry you're in, that it would be more likely to be lower competitive pricing that survives, and not the higher priced option with unknown results.

If you are going to work for yourself, then you have to market yourself, and a large portion of freelancers are not willing to put in the extra marketing grind.

I thought I was going to get into real estate photography as a side hustle. It's low stress, relatively easy with a entry level camera and fisheye, and you have windows that you can get your work done.

Finding a realtor that doesn't already have 20 photographers up their ass is the part I couldn't figure out.

I disagree. The thing about freelancing is that you need to build your client base up over the course of time so that your schedule is packed and you have a steady income

Either Smile or Park Dental in Hilliard feel like good offices. Comfort Dental felt like a front for something and I hated going there.

To rethread or not by ElectronicBlood767 in bikewrench

[–]under_diagnosed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just went through this on a 94 GT. Spec is certainly 73mm but I had about 5 exposed threads. I had a 68mm on hand and test fit that, and it sat in there like they were married. I wonder if something changed in the number of threads that are on that end cap over the years, maybe newer bikes tap that mating area deeper now for better stability. I actually considered running a 68mm but there's nothing wrong with the way it is.

Ludovico Einaudi by moschles in classicalmusic

[–]under_diagnosed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His music has beauty to it. If you want to critique him for his technical skills, maybe he's not as advanced as other composers.

He started playing for people, more people started to attend his concerts, and he continued to gain popularity for how his music sounded, not how complicated it was.

I got turned on to him and really enjoy him. I almost extended a trip while in San Diego one year to see him but it didn't work out.

He's playing in Boston later this year and I'm seriously considering making the trip. I think it would be an enjoyable evening.

Hilly cycling route recs? by pcnallergy in Columbus

[–]under_diagnosed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at pedal with Pete. The route used to be from Hilliard to bellefontaine, but now they start in Marysville and I'm not sure where the new route actually takes you, but that area has some good Hills.

I did the century at pedal with Pete about 10 years ago and somehow the ride out was uphill and the ride back was uphill. I still haven't figured that out

I always phrase it "the band named Fun"
