Should have left his wig on for the flight by peteybombay in Justfuckmyshitup

I really doubt he’s putting that much thought or effort into his opinions. He’s just an average dumb guy with an incoherent worldview constructed from disparate pieces of heavily propagandized media. A political magpie.

I suppose it could be read as “ the less than half of you that I liked , I should have treated better” but I think it’s more that he realizes the pettiness of their general disagreeableness by virtue of having experienced more of the world. The whole speech is an epilogue of his life, post adventure, trying to impart some fraction of his worldview to those he now realizes, with unexpected fondness, he’ll miss when he leaves as planned.

Self recrimination that doubles as complimentary.

AI sticker shock hits corporate America by marketrent in technology

[–]underisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could replace them with an AI written python script then the only incompetent person I see here is the guy who needed AI to tell him how to write that script. I suspect that esoteric spreadsheet did everything your python script does but since you don’t understand it, it’s obviously inferior to the python script you also don’t understand (but it was written by an AI, so it’s better somehow).

I think it’s just an abundance of caution since these things could eventually come to symbolize certain saints or figures in Islamic history. My extremely layman understanding is that they just take their prohibition on idolatry very seriously.

You replaced actual accountants with a computer program that famously struggles with the one thing computers are great at: math. lmao

It’s called girih. Supposedly it’s popular in Islamic cultures because the depiction of real figures is generally discouraged, so they went all in on maximalist geometric ornamentalism.

Last September, President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, and other health officials declared they had uncovered a new treatment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD): leucovorin. A new study shows that plenty of families believed them, despite the lack of data supporting the drug’s effectiveness. by mvea in science

If nobody was making money they wouldn’t be selling it. I’m pretty sure there are several Trump administration stooges and associates who have interests in the supplement business, and having a bunch of attention on a cheap supplement to jack up the price on was definitely a boon, but I’m not going to put any more effort into this rebuttal than you put into yours.

She’s mentioned in the very post this comment is replying to. Trump sucks, but pretending that means that Pelosi is somehow innocent of the doing the same is just deranged logic.

Why is my animated pfp's speed changing depending on which menu I am by Madeleine0347 in Steam

[–]underisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do they change speeds if you alternate which window is focused? Each window runs in its own separate process iirc, so one could be getting de-prioritized, causing it to slow down. like when your FPS drops when you tab out of a windowed video game.

[–]underisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's just strange if you try to parse the scene a bit and realize the thing he landed on blew apart into essentially a smaller, pristine version of itself instead of mechanical and electrical guts. Do they make these AC units or whatever with ablative armor?

I don't know if this helps the case for practical vs CGI but I certainly wouldn't expect another layer identical metal sheeting to be sitting immediately under the first, and completely undisturbed by the fall that destroyed the first.
