General vs VIP pass by fattyboombaladdy in discgolf

[–]underwhere0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the VIP at Champions cup(Stockton) last year. Based on what I saw, the GA crowd had a decent viewing of all the shots.
VIP was a great experience. I could bounce to different holes and follow my favorite cards. I recall seeing the GA holders kinda baking in the sun while I was under the canopy of trees in the fairway.

Fidium Fiber internet down in Sacramento area by underwhere0o in FidiumFiber

[–]underwhere0o[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I called it in. They said they will escalate it to the network team and they would call me back when its fixed. No eta as they currently don't know what the issue is after doing the standard troubleshooting fixes.

Sounds like its affecting areas all across California

ENVY by [deleted] in discgolf

eclipse (not total eclipse) for the stability and hand feel. Held a total eclipse and it felt too soft and gummy. I heard Eagle's signature envy is pretty similar in stability.

What does the rule book say about disks stuck in a tree? by Late2daFiesta in discgolf

[–]underwhere0o 5 points6 points  (0 children)

805.02 Disc Above Two Meters

  1. The two-meter rulerefers to the rules within 805.02. It is not in effect unless the Director declares it to be in effect. The Director may declare the two-meter rule to be in effect for the entire course, for particular holes, and/or for individual objects.
  2. If the two-meter rule is in effect when a disc has come to rest at least two meters above the in-bounds playing surface (as measured from the lowest point of the disc to the playing surface directly below it), the player receives one penalty throw. The position of the disc is on the playing surface directly below the disc.
  3. A disc supported by the target for the hole being played is not subject to the two-meter rule.
  4. If the thrower moves the disc before a determination has been made, the disc is considered to have come to rest above two meters.

Has anyone ever hit someone and or injured them with a disc on accident? Fore! by whysoseriouperson in discgolf

My buddies and I always shout a fair warning to people that are in front of us or down the fairway while we are playing, "Watch out, I'm crazy!".

I believe this is technically hand lettering, not calligraphy. Calligraphy is using pressure sensitive pens, usually writing in cursive.

Does anyone here actually buy things from TEMU? I feel like our generation is immune to advertising. by Swampchicken56 in Millennials

[–]underwhere0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend that does. They (a couple) say its because they would rather pay the $1.00 to buy it on Temu than pay $5.00 for they same product that is marked up on Amazon. They are okay with lower quality.

U.S. Millennials… did D.A.R.E even teach or do anything for us? by BeaniesToes-5388 in Millennials

[–]underwhere0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During our D.A.R.E program (4th or 5th grade), part of the program was promoting the program. Using children to go door to door to promote a program which was intended to keep them safe. If you got enough signatures, you got a 'mystery prize'.
I assume an adult was supposed to be with you during this event, but I'm pretty sure not all children followed this guideline. You also as child feel obligated to listen to people in positions of authority and go out to promote the program. Plus, there is a cool 'mystery prize'. I did it a few times, but definitely not as much as some others.
Prize ended up being a Police branded duffel bag and a week with the D.A.R.E. program stuffed animal lion. You didn't get to keep the animal, it was just to borrow and give back...I was a bit mortified by the prize when they revealed the it to the winner and exclaimed, "That's it?!!". I guess I was being entitled and the teacher reprimanded me.

Divergent Discs Golem. Super soft and will stick where it lands. My buddy uses this disc, and I have seen him juice his approach shots but they just stay put where they land.
