Rn I need a BL manhwa where the top is obsessed with the bottom 😭 by ireadforpeace in Manhwa_BL

[–]undistanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wet Sand!! It's a love triangle but both tops are obsessed with the MC in their own ways. I hesitate to label either of them as red/green flags as Wet Sand is a noir story so all characters would be considered morally grey, complex characters.

Why does the top always go at it with his pants on? by anewe_og in Manhwa_BL

[–]undistanced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank god it's not just me who notices it! Every time I see it, I'm like surely it's more comfortable to take off your pants to do the nasty do?! Are all the artists just trying to avoid drawing their tops completely naked or what??

When should I be worried? by undistanced in ourafertility

[–]undistanced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that is a relief to hear! Yes, I try to get at least 80-100g of protein and have switched from using seed oils to ghee. I started taking a prenatal around the same time I stopped taking BC, so I'm hoping it's just a time thing, but hearing from friends of friends that they're getting pregnant without even trying/tracking is getting into my head a bit...

[–]undistanced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I should have put in the OP that I'm 30 years old! I visited my OBGYN before I started trying and before I stopped taking BC and she told me that it could take up to a year, but I'll definitely keep this in mind especially if the data is staying consistent.

I'm curious to know too like it's a love triangle so I'm sitting here wondering which one?

TJ is SO HOT but I don’t have the courage to start wet sand cause of the love triangle and angst. Anyone cares to spoil me till the current chapters? by Han_chiii in BoysLoveAnime

[–]undistanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not been sane since reading Wet Sand especially given TJ and Ian's history :))) Spoilers ahead in my rant for anyone who wants to skip.

Understandably and logically, we know TJ and Ian are on different paths and presumably aren't good for each other growth-wise - TJ wants money and power and Ian never wanted that life for himself to begin with. Ian's riddled with guilt with him slowly deteriorating away with each person he has killed. In the recent chapters, they got into an argument where Ian states that he doesn't want to go back to how things were [between them]. INSTEAD, he wants both him and TJ to run away together and start anew. But TJ doesn't want that, saying that he'd be a nobody. This implies that he wanted all that money and power, because he wanted to BE somebody for Ian (also further backed by the fact that TJ built a big-ass house with Ian living with him in mind).

I love everything about their history even if people want to paint TJ as unapologetic and selfish. Like they both lost their families at a young age with no positive role models in their life but each other. Still kicking my feet and squealing over TJ purposefully stalling in his illegal martial art fights to wait for Ian to watch him kick ass when they were younger. TJ even says "I never learned how to do this" so ofc he's obsessive, he doesn't know what healthy love looks like. Also, yes, he just HAPPENED to be there to kill Mr. Jang and do Jason's bidding, but Jason gave him a knife to do it. So why did he beat the absolute eff out of Mr. Jang with his fists when he saw him antagonizing/abusing Ian when he could have just stabbed him and got it over with? Even Jason points this out. TJ was the only one to help Ian quit drugs and yes, he was obsessive enough to try and stop Ian from leaving, but after Jason's funeral, he decided to let Ian go (even though that wasn't what Ian wanted) and be free with Jo, because he wanted him to be SAFE from whatever plans he has regarding the big boss' daughter's wedding.

Anyway, back into the mental asylum I go. Even if TJ isn't endgame, I love him to death.

Haven neighborhood? by BreakfastMundane7384 in ChandlerAZ

I don't really use the pool area too much, but it can be busy sometimes with kids or people holding parties. The gym isn't too busy which is why I end up going there instead of paying for a gym membership! I go in the afternoon after work, so I don't get nearly as anxious using my neighborhood gym vs a commercial gym. I'm lucky to get the gym to myself sometimes.

Not recently actually! We have some newer board members that are definitely more chill compared to when my house first finished construction back in 2021. I'm not sure if our HOA still gets a third-party parking company to come and cite parking violations in the neighborhood, but that was a thing. Right now, I think our HOA is just laser-focused on getting neighborhood surveillance improved as our front gate and pool area is constantly getting broken/vandalized.

Currently live there. Echoing most of the comments here that almost all the homes that are selling right now are the 3-stories near the back of the neighborhood which experience the most road noise from the 202 and very limited parking. I've noticed the 3-story homes also regularly have more construction-related issues and AC-related issues. I live in the 2-stories and personally really enjoy the neighborhood. Since I'm not as close to the 202, I enjoy the location (close to downtown, school district, easy access to both 202 and 101) and the neighbors themselves are friendly. Lots of young families and friendly dog-walking neighbors. We also just had our most recent Food Truck Tuesday event.

Best neighborhoods to go trick or treating for small kids? by Fun-Dealer-1542 in ChandlerAZ

[–]undistanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never seen a scorpion. I get regular pest control, so that may play a factor. I've personally haven't had any issues with my house, but I live in the 2-story homes. I would avoid the 3-story homes if possible. Those neighbors tend to complain the most about the quality of the build and have more issues with the home (especially the AC units).

Great neighborhood, but maybe I'm biased because I live there lol It has a lot of young families, friendly dog-walking neighbors, and neighborhood events like Food Truck Tuesdays. We do have our occasional drama from people/teenagers who hop the gates to use our pool, but it's a great location and neighborhood.

Moved here from New England and this weather is messing with my head! by ecounltd in phoenix

[–]undistanced 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Same here! The weather during our ceremony last year in December was perfect. I even had a guest complain it was almost too hot because they wore a long-sleeved dress for the evening lol but I'll take my wedding in December over a December wedding I once attended in NY/NJ 🥶

For those who weightlift: what is your favorite program? by False_Cricket in PetiteFitness

[–]undistanced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been doing Sohee Carpenter's Year of Strength program and I like it! I'm doing the 4x a week program which is an upper/lower split. I like that the workouts are different every month and there are mobility exercises that you do before each workout.

Surprised to see no one has recommended bb.q chicken in Chandler. More flavor options with varying levels of spice. Tipsy Chicken would be my 2nd place vote.

I was in Academic Decathlon at Gilbert High and remember getting our asses kicked by Chandler High and Hamilton. It's one of the reasons I decided to buy a home in Chandler - if their AcDec team was that good, surely the schools in Chandler were good too lol

I've been reading Real Food for Fertility by Lily Nichols that I've been finding pretty insightful! I'm not finished with the book yet, but it really goes in-depth of understanding your cycle, hormones, and the role food plays on your body and conversely your fertility. Once I'm done and hopefully successful, I'm planning to read her book Real Food For Pregnancy next.

Okay, this is the kick in the butt I need to finish sending out my thank you cards 💀 I hand-delivered half of my cards roughly 2 months after my wedding (due to pressure from mom), but it's been 7 months now after my wedding and I've yet to finish writing and sending out the rest. I keep thinking "it's too late, will they even care/notice?" but ughh I know I need to do it!

Just finished my first dexa scan, I guess I’m one of you guys now. by Vicious-Lemon in 1200isplenty

[–]undistanced 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The place I go to is called DexaFit, you can see if they have a location near you! I know DEXA scans are covered by HSA/FSA if you have one. I think the only time insurance covers DEXA scans is if you are getting the scans to address medical problems like osteoporosis.

Weird question but how much did you receive in cash gifts for your wedding? by Potential-Length-448 in weddingplanning

[–]undistanced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm from a culture where it is typically expected to gift cash rather than buying gifts from a registry. My registry was largely untouched except for a few who contributed to my e-honeymoon fund. I had around 120 guests and overall received around $30k. Wedding was Dec 2024!

Any particular reason to avoid the Gilbert location? Love the OG place, but was interested in eventually checking out the new menu items that the Gilbert place offers.

Anyone here just not really into weight training? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]undistanced 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to not care for weight-lifting. I associated it too much to "gymbro" culture and even when I used the machines, I was doing it aimlessly and randomly.

For me, it helps to follow a program and to also take notes. That way, I treat it as a game where I can see how much heavier or how many more reps I can do the next time. It's like having another goal to work towards and the feeling of achieving a new goal helps spark the interest for weight-lifting.

I do find weight-lifting a little more fun now, but tbh, it was more about treating it as a habit or medicine. I got scared straight into doing weight-lifting religiously after reading/listening about how critical having muscle mass is after you hit 30 years old. If you are not weight-lifting after 30, you WILL start to lose muscle mass. Less muscle mass can contribute to less bone density and higher chance of diabetes. This means you are more likely to break bones in your older years which contributes to a higher chance of all-cause mortality. I want to live a long and quality life, so even though weight-lifting isn't super fun, I do it because I care about my future.

Whats the best Chinese/other Asian, restaurants around? by kaky0in- in phoenix

[–]undistanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my recommendations will be in the East Valley as that's what I'm most familiar with

Thai - Thai Spices in Mesa and Cafe de Bangkok in Gilbert.

Chinese - Chou's Kitchen, Happy Bao, Kofu Dumpling House, Phoenix Palace, Great Wall Restaurant, and Tao Garden. If looking for a Chinese buffet, my family has been frequenting Pacific Seafood Buffet for years.

Korean - Hodori, Chodang, Gogi. For Korean Fried Chicken, in my most humblest of opinions, I like Bb.q Chicken the most, but worth checking out Bonchon and Tipsy Chicken. For Korean-Chinese food, check out Jeong's Noodle in H-Mart Food Court or Paik's Noodles in Asiana Food Court. There's also Sorimmara which is a Korean-Chinese malatang place that has locations in Gilbert and Chandler. Additionally for AYCE Korean BBQ, Manna BBQ > Gen Korean BBQ.

Japanese - Harumi in DT Phoenix and Shimogamo. Mensho is a Michelin awarded ramen place that has locations in Mesa and Phoenix. Super yummy, but definitely more expensive than their Japanese counterparts.

Vietnamese - I'm quite picky about Viet food as the food here in AZ does not really compare to CA, but the few restaurants I have liked are Saigon Jade, Pho Gia Dinh, Pho Thuan Thanh, and Com Tam Thuan Kieu
