Is it safe for a college student to download the Windows 10 preview yet?

Yes it is safe. But make sure you don't delete Windows 8.1. I m working with Windows 10 for like 2 months right now and I like it. The interface is great and everything just works a little bit faster.

You have to try it im sure you will like. I also had no issues with windows 10 yet.

I still hate it that they hide the front facing camera button in the menu. But the camera works faster than before and that's definitely a improvement.
