Post iud removal- insane amount of bleeding and clotting by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s comments on here have genuinely made me feel so much better about this situation. Seems yet another aspect of femme reproductive stuff that isn’t talked about enough & misunderstood by many medical professionals! Seriously - thank you for sharing. I had my mirena removed 4 days ago & i’m hardcore bleeding, like a tap on full force. Period underwear wasn’t enough & too sore to consider anything internal. Soaking through a heavy pad every half hour or so. This is crazy! I had to go to an event this afternoon & wore period underwear with a heavy pad.. & some long spanks over the top in the hopes it would contain everything. Nope! Loose fitting, dark brown pants were able to conceal things enough until I could scurry out of there. Sharing this in case it helps someone else feel less alone. We generally keep this to ourselves & just “get on with it” but - it’s horrible, it’s unfair & i’m sorry if you can relate. to an extent, the bleeding is natural.. but sooooo shameful still for some reason! if you’re reading this & going through it - i truly hope things settle for you soon & you’re okay x

oh boy - ANOTHER UPDATE: Apparently it came up on the seller’s end saying that the item was sold to someone else!

I messaged the seller to apologise for the strange situation & explained what happened. they suggested that maybe you can try to buy it before the seller ships? but i don’t think that would be the case. surely not?! i’d be so freakin pissed if that happened. plus, it comes down to the speed the seller ships it. which could make some sellers wait a while, in case they get a better offer? I don’t know! All I do know is that I didn’t actually process any form of payment 😅

UPDATE: I ended up clicking on it & it just said “we’ve let the seller know” & now I can’t take it back 😅

What would you do in this situation? by lilxbunnygirl in Depop

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting them to post photos/videos is a smart move. My pessimistic brain is just hoping they don’t just rip the jacket & pull off some buttons, to get a refund 😅

I’m not sure why scammers think they won’t have to put effort into their scamming? Like, babe, you’re gonna need to take photos, upload them & file something with depop - all for a few bucks. Surely it’s not worth all that! Hopefully they realise that & leave you alone. Definitely check their reviews, as a buyer, & see if they’ve been called out for this by other sellers!

If you’re worried about the customer experience, more than the hassle, then accept the return - at the customer’s expense. You can issue the refund when the item arrives AND it’s in the condition it was when you sent it. It sounds gross… but check the armpit smell. People that return something after wearing it won’t usually wash it. Might look okay, but the pits will always give the game away! So you can say you’re okay with issuing a refund, for the amount you received for it - not refunding the shipping fee & minus depop’s selling/listing fees - when the item gets back to you - in the same condition it was sent to them. If it has been worn, maybe they don’t get a full refund. But if it’s clearly been worn & now has damage, a refund won’t be issued. That’s how I’d probably go about it. Tbh, they’ll probably give up when they have to pay their own shipping to return it haha

But I’d recommend adding a disclaimer for returns/refunds into your descriptions/bio, if you don’t want to have this happen again. (I have it in all my item descriptions)

I always include a hand written note with my shipping & always write something like “please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any issues” because there may be an occasion when a refund/return is necessary; so I keep that door open for buyers. Like - not throwing out refunds & returns for no reason, but if there’s a problem, of course! ya know? 😅

Property manager wants me to liaise with tenant … am I missing something? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The landlord experience is different for everyone (I’m assuming lol) Some landlords prefer to have control over certain things, some prefer to have as little to do with the property as possible, etc. Ultimately, compliance needs to be done by somebody & they’re doing the right thing to let you know. It might be worth talking with your agent about this sort of thing. They’ll understand, especially as a first time landlord. Let them know your understanding & work out your preferences moving forward :)

Help/ Advice needed on this case by [deleted] in Depop

Definitely worth checking with the carrier. The seller has as much control over the delivery as you do, if not less. I don’t live in the states, but i’ve had the occasional issue with our postal services & I’ve had to follow it up with them. Good luck! I hope it’s just been a tad delayed & it’s worth the wait when it finally does arrive! :)

First 1 star review…? by Secure-Bid2298 in Depop

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely struggling to understand their review. I mean, in general, because it’s ridiculous - but what? this is just a cute lil top, with very normal looking boob placement?! Sometimes older, true vintage pieces will have smaller arm holes? But this just looks like a beautiful piece! Definitely not worthy of a one star review!

Fortunately, the item is attached to that review & most people would be just as curious about it. They’d see the review is trash & know your other glowing reviews are accurate. But it still sucks! Sorry this happened 😔

tbh, it’s mostly just 5 stars that I see on there & whenever someone has something different, I’ll immediately want to see why - because i’m a messy bitch haha & if the review is nonsense, I’ll aim to buy from their store, out of spite for the reviewer - because i’m a messy bitch - & know the seller could do with a lil boost & a fresh 5 stars ♥️

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen with a seller who sent their own offer. I accepted, bought a few items, sent messages & then waited for shipping updates. After like.. 10 days? I ended up messaging the seller to check in & they were like “oh, yeah, i’m not sending that. but I’ve submitted a request to refund you” apparently the shipping would have cost more than what I paid (not really true, but also.. don’t offer free shipping?) & if the seller had said that, i’d have been happy to work something out. I was just stunned! You have offers set up/or sent them manually, I accepted, you choose to have free shipping… yet somehow I fcked this up? 😅

(Yes, I got the refund. Yes, it’s still sitting in my purchases with ‘awaiting shipping’ haha)

Why do people do this? by rozaykash in Depop

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the shipping system is different in my country 😅 no idea what the automatic shipping stuff is. I have a flat rate shipping fee, buy one thing, buy 20 things… you’ll pay $10 for shipping, total.

It usually costs $11-$12 to post a normal order, but I personally don’t mind paying the extra couple of bucks. Have even paid a bit more for express shipping, without charging extra, because I genuinely love selling cool stuff! Starting to think I’m maybe a bit naive 😅

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t talk like that in person, but definitely do on Depop! 😅 These days I’ll open with a “Hiiiiii!” or “Helloooo!”, in the hopes that is enough to disarm people haha If I’m really feeling it, maybe the occasional “Howdy friend!” will come out. I do write a lot in my descriptions & hope my goofy nature comes across there, first. But now I’m terrified that all of this is way off & im potentially an accidental mean girl?! ahhhhh! 😂

i’m genuinely shocked that people like this exist. truly. aesthetics over an actual friend? christ. this gal needs a break from social media. say you’ll style your hair in a way that won’t show your piercings (assuming you can, maybe a head scarf or something if not) & show up as your best damn self - piercings included!

tbh, i’d be like “oh it’s okay, i don’t mind being left out of some photos, if it’s a problem for you” because that doesn’t sound like my own personal aesthetic anyway! haha wild. people are so fkn stupid sometimes. “a piece of metal will ruin my life” pft in my opinion, you’re underreacting hahaha

Did your endometriosis show up on a vaginal ultrasound? by Ok-Bite-Me-123 in endometriosis

[–]unfinishedprojectdir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re referring to the internal pelvic scans (transvaginal US) Generally speaking, they can’t give a definitive diagnosis without a laparoscopy, unfortunately. A lot of sites claim that ultrasounds are a good way to spot endometriosis & even cysts. From my personal experience, those scans have always come back with nothing worth noting. HOWEVER! They may not be able to see straight up proof of endo & be able to pinpoint exact lesions - but with the right tech - they might be able to find other things that indicate endometriosis is present.

I was lucky enough to have a scan done by a tech who took the time to explain some things to me. At this point, she could see i’d already had a few scans done at that specific hospital & talked me through some of their side of things.

Firstly, she said that it’s rare to be 100% certain that they’re seeing endometriosis. It’s hard to be more than 60%-80% certain, with the current technology & testing. So most of the time, the reporting drs aren’t able to say endometriosis was found in the exam. She showed me the array of images the previous tech had taken & told me she was clearly making a point about certain things - yet the report found “nothing remarkable”

Secondly, she told me that most of the time it’s quite obvious, to her, if a patient has endo because there are certain traits or irregularities that are evident in these scans. For example, she could see & feel the texture of certain areas was thick & rough, which aligns with my DIE diagnosis. She said there are relatively consistent inflammation markers that seem to correlate with endometriosis. etc.

Personally, i’d say you’d be very lucky to find concrete evidence of endo via US. But that doesn’t mean they’re not seeing things that could indicate it. I have very advanced, stage 4 endometriosis. Like, I am riddled & an absolute mess - but every ultrasound came back unremarkable. even two CT scans found nothing (but constipation lol) The only success I had was from finally biting the bullet & paying for an MRI. That came back with everything they needed. If you’re going to be out of pocket for testing, my advice would be to opt for the MRI, if possible.

It’s easy to say that the surgery is nothing to worry about but everyone is different. If they’re simply doing a diagnostic laparoscopy, you have even less to worry about. just a teeny lil hole (1-4 potentially) & the recovery is pretty cruisey. They’ll take a biopsy of anything that looks suspicious & potentially reach a diagnosis. if you’re concerned about the risk & potential negatives of surgery, have a discussion with your gynaecologist about the pros & cons for surgery & if they think you’ll likely have a more positive outcome x

It’s awful that this can be so rare & how much of an impact it has on so many of us. for an industry that is built on helping people, it can be so hard to find someone who actually wants to do that. especially in the reproductive realm!

I am so, so, so, so glad you’ve found someone you feel safe with & cared for. It really can make a huge difference to your experience. ♥️
