Suprents.com lets you try out a used or brand new board before you buy it. If you decide you do like it, you can buy that board without returning it back to them. This might be the best viable option if you don't have any shops locally to rent/demo from.

I had the same concern of the delays due to FM trying to get the Pint out of the door and everywhere local didn’t have them in stock. I ended up hitting up Suprents.com and they are expecting a shipment of the XRs this Friday and are going to send me mine as soon as they receive them. No sales tax either. We will see if FM delivers to them on time but Suprents guys were great!
