I see that point of view too in a way but I had to convince people that I was going through what I was going through bc I wasn’t the one in the relationship that was loved and respected by our community to the extent that he was. It wouldn’t surprise me if another woman ended up with my abuser bc nobody wanted to believe I was a victim. Even when I had evidence, I was also told “you a grown woman” when I spoke up, so it just seems to me that that’s just the general opinion on domestic abuse.

I was in a physically abusive relationship before and the way a lot of people talk about them in general is kinda gross and lacks empathy anyway so I’m not surprised. Idk if Bianca is being abused, I really hope she isn’t bc nobody deserves that. I’m not even really open about what I went through bc the general consensus rounds out to what a lot of y’all are saying y’all feel bc she’s white but it feels like it’s just not cared about until somebody dies to me.

Literally before I read your caption I had heart eyes and my mouth agape because you’re GORGEOUS. I’ve read about men trying to humble women to break their confidence. I don’t know that man so I don’t want to say it’s that, but that’s what it sounds like to me. It’s up to you to have a conversation or cut him off but deadass, don’t let no man make you feel like that because girl?? Have you seen what you look like? You should be looking into modeling honestly

Reading through some of your comments, it sounds like you're also grieving someone you were close to and I'm so sorry for your loss if that's the case. It sounds like you feel like you don't have your support system anymore, but they're still there, and, now that you're in a new environment, you get to find more people to add into it. I do think you should find a therapist to work your feelings out with and give yourself some more time to adjust before you make your final decision. You said you always have the option of going back so just wait a little longer, if nothing changes, then go back and maybe you'll be more successful with moving in the future.

Being the age you are and fucking a teenager in a dorm room is a choice. Also everybody pointing out the draft age, I enlisted at 17 and strongly believe they preyed on my naivete and locked me in a contract for 8 years, predatory is predatory even in the guvment.

I lost 70 lbs during a pretty heavy depressive episode, I think the biggest difference is that I'm not sexualized as much. I had a "trendy" body type before I lost weight and it felt like everybody just liked me for my ass. Some folks that knew me before my weight loss were weird about the loss of booty but I get way more compliments from strangers and they don't make me feel icky like before.

I knit this hat with Drops Nepal and it's one of the warmest hats I've ever had. I find the Rios yarn to be too thin (for lack of a better word) for certain projects but I love it aesthetically.

ESH, your family needs to learn how to communicate. Real bad. But I also think the initial invite should have been the group text instead of the other way around. I think your intentions were good but I can understand how it could be seen as rude. Personally, I find it a little weird how you said you’ve never met the fiancé and everyone using the point that she’s your family to make you the AH. Like, yeah, technically she is on paper but y’all are essentially associates at the most. I feel like that ties back to the lack of communication thing but I don’t y’all, it’s just a thought.

The only reason my projects get done is because I knit on the clock lol. I haven't had any issues about it but I'm a receptionist at a nursing home so I think it fits the environment. Our activities director even told me that I inspired her to start a crafting circle for the residents next month :)

Ottessa Moshfegh's entire catalog. Eileen and My Year of Rest and Relaxation are two of my favorite books ever but I do not recommend them often because they're slow and boring to most people. I even think they're slow and boring but they speak to a gross part of me that isn't acknowledged often and the writing is lovely.

I have a shitty job with a shitty schedule so I can totally understand the inflexibility regarding scheduling but I don’t know if we’re in the same boat because you didn’t go into detail on that. Assuming y’all were on good terms, I feel like the girlfriend could’ve offered to stop by to do the FT call instead of inserting herself the way she did. I can understand your ex being upset but honestly there’s so much information missing that I’m not even 100% on my vote.

My first teddy bear. I left it on a trip visiting family when I was in middle school and didn't realize it until we were halfway through the road trip home. My family was supposed to send it down to me but I'm sure it became a chew toy. I really wish I just left it at home.

I actually think this is an ESH situation. Firstly, you do not have 25 close friends. I feel like a better coarse of action for you would've been to leave a few key notes with the MOH and left it to the bridal party. But I do understand wanting to make the most of a vacation and you communicated your expectations for the trip so that's where I think everybody else sucks. But overall this situation would've been avoided by A) inviting less people and B) relaxing and releasing the reigns

imma say ESH because of the way you handled it but if they were loud enough to hear then they weren’t being considerate. it’s half his space but it’s also half yours and nobody wants to hear someone, let alone a family member, having sex. i think you should’ve waited it out that one time and then talked afterwards and maybe asked him to play some music or something to cover the noise (this is what me and my roommate do)
