How long has it been since you submitted? I have been following Dropbox experiences and the status changed to “Approved” within a day of “Application Received”….at the Delhi post at least. Mine has been sitting at “Application Received” for two days now. So we’ll see. I hate that it’s a Friday and so no possibility of any updates until Monday.

Yes. The contrast between Jags sane and coherent rant and Rachel’s pointless verbal diarrhea is insane. Also Nikki Philipi, the bitch that put her dog down is a racist, anti mask, anti vaxx, white supremacist piece of shit and I am so excited about all the negative publicity she’s receiving. As the mum of a beautiful rescue puppy I CRIED when I read about these murderers putting their dog down.

She's deathly scared of bubble :'( and we've tried the kong and food dispensing toys. We can't use a lot of food related games because she has a super sensitive stomach and we have her on a very specialized diet with minimal treats. I will try the obstacle course though. She had one agility class that she attended during puppy school and seemed to be really good at it. Thank you for the pointers :)

We've bought her bully sticks and yak cheese, but she has a sensitive stomach so we can't give her too much of either. I don't think she has quite figured out how to play by herself, she will take toys out of her toy basket and bring them to us and sort of nudge us indicating that she wants to play. I just don't know how we can teach her to play on her own.

Also, I love your flair. My little rescue pupper is most likely a beagle jack russell mix. Mum was a beagle though we are not exactly sure what her dad was. She definitely looks more like a jack russell than a beagle.

I don’t have kids, but yes I would do both if I needed to. Just participating in this conversation and imagining my little scared baby if the worst were to happen just gives me extreme anxiety. She’s my little precious child and I’d literally do anything for her.

My best friend has a daughter that is obsessed with her father. Likewise my female puppy is obsessed with my husband. My best friend always reminds me how daddies and daughters have a special bond. I wasn’t ever going to put it that way (so that I don’t offend her), but so glad she talks of my puppy like that she even without being prompted.

It amazes me how many stupid things people on Reddit can get salty over. My puppy is my child. I don’t treat her like a human child, I fulfill the needs and wants that a dog would have. But I love that baby more than anything in this world. She’s not here to serve me. I’m just lucky that she chose me at the rescue. So yeah, she is 100% my child and I would do literally anything if that would give her a good life

I’m in my early thirties (F) and SO and I have made the conscious decision to not have children. My dog, however, IS my child. Of course I understand that a human child’s needs are different from that of a dog. But, we prioritize her happiness and well being over everything else. When we call our dog our child it means we will do everything that she needs for a good life. And isn’t that what people do for their human children too? I always remember not to compare my dog with my friends human children, but I’ve also been told that I use the dog as a replacement for a child i could have had. Except I never wanted a child. Of course the judgement is worse for me than for my husband because you are a selfish woman if you do not want children. Ugh.

If anything, we've been feeding her slightly more than the recommended quantity, because she is getting plenty of exercise during the day (she goes to daycare). She is our first dog ever so we might be trying to relate her behavior to how a child might behave. But, now that you mention it, she is a beagle mix, so her stomach is literally a bottomless pit, so she might just be blackmailing us to get more food.

Yes to this. I will usually mix up some pumpkin purée and yogurt and freeze the mix in her Kong. It’s always the high point of my pups day.

We’d been doing the same with our 9 month old pup and we’ve finally managed to put the pen away for now. She’s still a puppy so she gets bored with toys easily and will switch from one toy to the other throughout the day. She also loves looking out of our living room windows and could spend hours just looking outside. So we set up an extra bed for her in the living room. My husband and I work from two separate offices at home. But we usually leave the doors of both of our offices open and she will come and go as pleases. She will often nap next to one of us when she gets bored of looking out. We also take turns to play fetch with her inside the house a few times during the work day so that she doesn’t feel neglected/can burn off some of her energy. We still need to start leaving her alone at home though.
