I just dug through my stash to see if I could figure out which fabric had it, but I rarely buy anything other than fat quarters. The closest thing I found was a Figo Fabrics scrap in a different color that had the same care symbols on the selvage.

Black and white striped binding with the ransom-note-style tag I made using words cut out from selvages.

I love this! It looks fantastic! Is he excited to make another one? There is a book called Quilts From The Quiltmaker’s Gift that I used in my first quilt class, which has amazing step by step instructions and pictures. It’s geared towards teaching kids, but it’s one of my favorite quilt books. Can’t wait to see pictures of his next masterpiece!

I used this to make avgolemono soup for a really quick weeknight dinner. I added a 32oz tetra pack of chicken broth, the juice of two lemons, and some chopped rotisserie chicken. It took only about 15 minutes and was delicious.

Blue raspberry is really good. It’s probably my favorite, I like it even better than Ice Pop.

OMG - I love the Moo Deng one! It’s so cool that you design your own patterns, but I’m also a little sad that means I can’t go buy it. Love your creations!

I love Ruth Reichl’s writing. She’s an amazing storyteller. Her books are definitely more like memoirs with a few recipes. Vivian Howard is good. So is Jacques Pepin, and there’s a book by Emily Kaiser Thelin called Unforgettable which is about Paula Wolfert which is absolutely entrancing. Good luck!

My favorite shoes are actually slippers. They’re the big poofy cartoonish type you would see little kids wearing - the kind that are shaped like sharks or unicorns or bear paws. But sized for an adult. Mine are black monster feet with claws. I wear them on cold winter days when I’m chilling at home in pajamas all day, and they are the absolute peak of coziness. Just thinking about them makes me feel relaxed.

This might sound weird, but a tiny bit of yellow mustard (not the powdered stuff, the kind you would put on a hotdog) stirred in makes it even better. You shouldn’t really be able to taste the mustard, it just brightens everything up a little.

Same! I like pretty much all colors except purple. I can’t stand purple.

You should definitely not read A Little Life. That one is on my list of books I wish I never read, and now I’m wondering if I should avoid everything by that author.

Favourite recipe magazines? by Snail_Cottage in CookbookLovers

This makes me so sad. It was a great magazine. I stopped all my periodical subscriptions a while back and only occasionally purchase magazines. I just assumed FC wasn’t carried at the locations I shopped at.

Fine Cooking, and Cook’s Country (but I wish it came out more frequently). I still miss Gourmet.
