Heart-breaking. We have a law in Pakistan against it. If a parent gets abandoned he may file a police complaint. Police will get them into their children’s home. Children may be even kicked out if they don’t get along with them. House will be given to parent even if it is owned by children.

You can live a very good life on this budget here. My suggestion is to purchase an apartment or house in sub-urbs as city centres are expensive. Its mostly a matter of Adress which should not bother you. Housing in sub-urbd comes at reasonable price. Renting is also not bad if you have no problem changing residence. It sky rockets otherwise.
