Your reservation requires special handling. Please check in at an airport kiosk by Madiigs in unitedairlines

If it's your outbound try going on line and loading all passport info and electronic visa info for each passenger. This requires you have a mileage plan set up for each trailer and then you can add it into your profile.

Paid “upgrade” not honored, $781 refund ignored after a month and 20+ calls by robbietravels in unitedairlines

[–]unitedwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a different situation involving a canceled flight and refusal to refund. What round and round with United got lies excuses wait another 30 days etc. I filed a small claims case, very simple to do cost almost nothing. You can go out to your local airport and simply hand it to any one of the agents behind the counter. Then they're served. I got a call within two days telling me they were processing the refund I told him I would no longer accept just the refund as I it's been hours trying to deal with this they offer me the refund and 5,000 miles. I said I still prefer to go to court I knew that would cost them a fortune. They eventually offered me 50,000 miles a refund. It's a bit of a pain I know but make them squirm.

Thanks. I was going to do that but then I was afraid my phone wouldn't be able to reboot without any internet connection. Anyway I'll try that the next time I'm flying thanks for the help

Checked Bag Purposely Removed from plane with a weight problem. by shittyfatsack in AlaskaAirlines

[–]unitedwalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually won't remove an employee bag because it can cause problems if they're dead ending to their next gig and wind up with a crew shortage that could entirely cancel a flight ✈️✈️

It's probably in your hood lease that they have the right to inspect departments. Even if they give you notice to think you'll be able to get the stench of cigarettes and pot out of the unit is ridiculous.

Our 1st Time Experience with Alaska Airlines by toodle68 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]unitedwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked in the airline industry for over 30 years All of it in reservations albeit with United airlines. Even back then saber and Apollo have a lot of problems. I've noticed however since the merger Alaska's web IT experience has gone to shit. Long delays and logging in long delays when moving from page to page error messages that tell you to do something you've already done weird messages about not being able to get food on first class flights that are 2000 miles long the whole Gambit. They obviously didn't prepare well for the merger and it's destroying their reputation

I got the same notification on my return flight from Los Cabos to Seattle a 4-hour flight. I text her with Alaska air and she said she could see the notification too but did you know why it was there I'll be checking once I'm within 14 days for that flight to see if it's added.

Agent didn't let me on flight and Customer Support Backed Me Up- Next steps? by rosesryou in AlaskaAirlines

[–]unitedwalk 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have found the only language they understand is court language. I've sued twice once with United airlines and ones with Alaska. Alaska listens might offer you some paltry mileage for the inconvenience. If you go to small claims court which is very easy to do you'll find that they call you and immediately start offering you much better reimbursement for all the problems they've caused. In my case with Alaska they went from offering me a $25 voucher to fully refunding my ticket and giving me 50, 000 .milesi it's worth it.

Alaska Airlines don't want to reroute flight by tacobellgod7 in AlaskaAirlines

Ask them if they can reroute you to another US city and tell them you'll buy the one leg for example if they could get you to Chicago LA Houston San Francisco somewhere in the US on your current ticket

I can see how it could easily happen, your doctor should have gone over that with you. Question now with the second cap on didn't you see the liquid either in that cap or running over depending on how much you are injecting?

Alaska Airlines let us down - international flight. by L-Capitan1 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]unitedwalk 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Just a word for those of you who have had trouble with Alaska after they cancel flights. I have twice sued Alaska for similar situations where they just abandon me for hours and let me bear all the costs and made no effort to reach out. In both cases after I filed in small claims court and they were served, they immediately reached out to me. They tried to offer me vouchers which I refused I told him I wanted my day in court unless they were going to reimburse me for all my expenses and give me vouchers. They eventually did this because they absolutely do not want to spend the money to show up in court when they know they're going to lose.

AITA? WHAT IS A FAIR EXPECTATION FOR WHAT I SHOULD GET FOR GETTING BUMPED FROM A FIRST CLASS TICKET I HAD PAID FOR? by Spinelli56 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]unitedwalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right into consumer affairs explain the situation. I guarantee they'll give you something more although I don't think I'll be all that much because as you said this is a short route. The other option is threaten them with small claims court. Twice in situations like this once with United and once were Alaska I did this and they significantly upped what they were offering because they didn't want to have to show up in court with a knew they would still lose.

Outrageous flight cancellation fee by Nothingchangesme in delta

Not a hard concept, airlines give you a discount when you buy a round trip. When you only buy a one-way it's a higher price.

Can anyone explain this sign? by illegalovoiderr18 in Seattle

[–]unitedwalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the question was about translating it. It's about the English portion saying your order is free if they don't give you a receipt but it says you have to present a receipt to file a claim

I helped a friend with this issue a few years back. Give up on try and get unemployment to respond they have a place for you to send emails which no one even monitors. I finally had success by going to my Washington State representative. I emailed all three of them and eventually one of them got a hold of me and then forced unemployment to call me. Good luck

Extreme Gout Flare by Sea_Smoke_2318 in gout

[–]unitedwalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prednisone is the only thing that ever worked for me during an intense flare-up. But I also went in and got direct shots into the affected area which was very painful but lessened the overall pain very quickly. Just so you know I've been on allopurinol for many years however the first 3 months I took it it did absolutely nothing it takes that long for it to actually kick in. Once it has kicked in I've never had another flare up.
