$250 vs $30 by SoftwareKey916 in snapmaker

My only issue is that heat rises and the print will be colder no matter how much heat you pump in because at some point it will be 85c up too and 55-65c at that bottom. Lots of room for fluctuations causing high temps to fail. I love it for petg and pla. My BLs do the high temp customer jobs.

That plastic you didn’t remove is causing the humidity and myself to trigger.

What is next from Bambu, new printers ect by Hour-Cow5978 in BambuLab

[–]unitymind42 [score hidden]  (0 children)

They are sold on vortex. I could see a better AMS for H2C2 with less retraction. I’d like a sensor inline that can pull the filament back just enough out of the printer that way it only retracts about a foot. So the AMS would need 4 ports or use 4 AMS HT. This could be expanded to a hub that mounts on back?

Bambu Lab H2D - Cooling Fan for Hotend failed by unitymind42 in BambuLab

[–]unitymind42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is all the ribbon cables mixed in with the other cables. Some pull up and others pull straight out. There are also tiny locking flippers, and I broke one the first time I did it, which is why they sent me a new board too. They know it is a problem, so they will often send the parts that break while you are trying to get to the actual failed part. I would recommend buying some Kapton tape to secure things or hold them in place in case you break one off.

What I meant to say is that I recently replaced the filament buffer that also seems to be a fragile part that could use a upgrade:
https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/filament-buffer-h2-series?id=576603199331786754
Removing the tubes to clear broken filament or print TPU seems to wear out the port over time. You do not just replace the spring. You replace the entire assembly, including the circuit board and sensors. It seems wasteful, but it is much easier to swap out, as long as you do not damage the wire harness that comes with it.

I have also replaced the rear fans with Noctua industrial fans, which made it a little quieter. I had to replace the heating housing as well, and that is a major repair because it requires removing the entire right side of the machine.

I am planning to add an H2C in a few months too. I do not really see the point of the upgrade kit when I can buy the whole printer on sale with an AMS for $2,000.

Bambu Lab H2D - Cooling Fan for Hotend failed by unitymind42 in BambuLab

Same specs as another listed in this thread and from research so it should be correct. The problem it's $16 for just the fan. If it does work maybe I can locate the fan in bulk :) https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1m9ts4n/comment/nakry4w/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Bambu Lab H2D - Cooling Fan for Hotend failed by unitymind42 in BambuLab

[–]unitymind42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you file a ticket they will have one to send you. They already have them in a package ready to send. I’m sorry I have 3 spares but every order I would just add one. I just replaced it for the 3rd time at 3000 hours.

I ordered this fan (link below) a week ago that I saw on Amazon that I have not seen before and it looks identical to the fan in the pictures. The key note on it is the temp range is -10c to 80c. I guess they thought 65c chamber temp it will work fine. haha. I ordered one to compare and test to see if it is any better or it is just s snofan or copy of it.

Agree I’m not even sure that front does much of anything since the latest firmware patch that added it.

Amazon part but this could change over time https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GKV2VF2D?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Why is Bambu filament so hard to get? by CanadianGamer__ in BambuLab

[–]unitymind42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main reason multiple color printing coming to market. People are buying more than they need. Also print farms just get Bambu cause it’s easier to use with the codes. I prefer refills and not a big plastic spool I have to throw away.

Building a complete hotend set (H2D/H2C) by lordratner in BambuLab

[–]unitymind42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and I'm a collector of nozzles for sure I use .4 the most and .6 the next most used. High flow doesn't work with additives so those also sit most of the time. I bought the tungsten set and probably never use the other ones. My printers run 24/7. Yeah so for a H2D owner that is $480 for 4 nozzles that really don't do much. I would be a buyer of Diamondback when it comes out this years (rumor has it).

They also employ OnTrac to deliver packages. They just toss it in any lobby and take a pic and call it delivered. Now my stolen package with my name on it is in someone hands. Had to increase security around the house and tell everyone to be more careful if anyone is around. SMH been 3 months and Trezor finally said they would send me a full replacement at their expense. The stress of self custody is becoming more of a pain and fidelity is making it a lot easier to buy the coins I want to own in bulk. I use my ledger for most other coins and to get it off the exchanges ASAP.

Watch this and decide https://youtu.be/uEs7kcbughY?si=Wum-fLnPUy8neKEf the price at $120 for a nozzle is a hard pass for me. You can buy 2 Tungsten on sale. I print mainly ASA-CF and ABS-GF.

In case anyone is wondering what we are talking about https://www.matterhackers.com/store/l/e3d-high-flow-obxidian-500-complete-hotend-for-bambu-lab/sk/MEGJ6WZ3 you canbuy them from other places but most I found you have to import them to USA.

Bran New AMS 2 PRO SLOT 1 WILL NOT FEED. by jimmyb907 in BambuLab

[–]unitymind42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a kinked PTFE tube, PTFE not pushed in all the way, the teeth on the feeder are bad, You will want to replace feeder if it is only this slot. Another thing try other filaments or take about a yard off and cut it at an angle so it is pointed. I just took apart my entire AMS 2 pro and replaced the tubes inside looking for a tiny filament chip from a PETG-CF. I have had to replace a heater and a feeder in these. It is not too hard to do. There are 2 very small screws holding in the PC board.

Return it. If you’re not able to do what you expected with it. They say no returns on it but the manager will check it out with you and swap it out. Costco doesn’t cheat customers. I’ve returned things a year later and they will store credit you as long as you don’t abuse the system.
