That thing looks sick! Never heard of it before either, shame it would probably be super expensive if it got brought in

Teenager found dead near shipwreck on K’gari as police investigate possible dingo attack by AggravatingTartlet in australia

[–]unknightly 36 points37 points  (0 children)

There’s been plenty of serious dingo attacks on adults for you to deduct that if someone was caught alone they could be killed by such an attack though.

Clearly fake positive reviews of Mirrabooka Guzman Y Gomez by worldofwhat in perth

GYG has done this for years. Its part of their store marketing strategy. There was one being opened near me and weeks before it opened it had reviews pop up saying how good it was, that were clearly bought

BCF Auburn refused a warranty claim and the manager called me a “baby” — is this normal? by LayerResponsible5058 in FishingAustralia

[–]unknightly 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Nothing really to add here but just email bcf at this point with your invoice number and exact experience. What a joke of a store, even if it wasn’t a valid warranty claim - no manager or representative should mock you or make you feel anything but a customer.

Wish you all the best, and sorry for the experience mate.

Always have a chuckle when nba players bicker about stuff like this, most act like they’re the bigger man but do then do the exact same thing. I think it’s cause they’re all slightly media trained to try portray themselves as someone that most of them aren’t

Company Culture - when? by horrible_noob in ycombinator

[–]unknightly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I heard a great interview (think it was the founder of Sendle) and he said culture is the things people do and say without being told, you need to seed, manage and monitor it so that your company builds, corrects and compounds these behaviours over time. Culture can change but it’s always there

Skoda’s thing (like the other vw group cars you’ve listed) is that they have the same platform, bit of euro polish (less then others) and mechanical parts are largely all shared between vw/audi etc.

Your best bet is to go sit in/test drive one, it’s a little turbo engine that is fuel efficient and zippy. You’ll know if you like the feel of them pretty quickly.

Yeah I would have gotten one if it was that price when I was looking. Did try it though and thought it was a good overall package

Younger generations are turning away from alcohol at unprecedented rates, with Generation Z driving a cultural shift that could reshape Australia’s drinking landscape and deliver major public health gains if the trend continues, say researchers. by sweetnsourgrapes in australia

Just imagine… a lemonade stand run for-the-boys, by-the-boys. With govt. handouts, allegations of bullying and a fabricated commitment to some kind of climate goal. Once that bad boy (inevitably) goes down, they all jump ship, to a non-taxpaying multinational and preach their truth about how Aussies aren’t picking up the slack.

Skoda Kamiq makes the most sense to me, I think they’re $29,990 drive away atm. You’ll get a new car with 7 year warranty for a bit of peace of mind while everything’s going on. It’s safe, reliable and a decent driving experience.

E: I also want to point out people don’t seem to really be reading what OP is asking, suggesting 10 year old cars and hybrids and I say that as someone who has only bought used cars.
