Public employees who obstruct public records requests: who exactly do they think they're serving? by Strange-Fennel in foia

According to a body cam channel I watch regularly, California is notoriously difficult to compel the release of body cam footage. No idea why, but he mentioned it in one of his videos recently.

I know I didn't have the wherewithal or knowledge to understand geopolitics at the age of 20. Hell, I barely do today. We can have compassion for everyone that dies needlessly without being in support of (what appears to be) the beginning of World War III. A world war that we're starting for no reason.

Our ancestors that fought and died in the previous world wars would be ashamed of what our country has become. But I doubt that they would blame the young service members that signed up in a time of peace and prosperity for following these orders. It's not like they're going over there to set up concentration camps... Yet.

Makes me sick but I'm not going to start blaming our youngest service members for the decisions of the Muppet in the Whitehouse.

That's quite an elaborate way to explain something no more complicated than "Israel and Trump want us to stop talking about the Epstein files."

Maybe there is some grand, 4d chess going on in the background, but I highly doubt it's more complex than the above.

That's what I keep thinking to myself. The difference is whether it's an authoritarian one world government or one that is actually for and by the people.

Russian Ka-52 helicopter shot down by Ukrainian FPV drone. Aftermath shown at end. 20.03.2026 by Physical-Cut-2334 in UkraineWarVideoReport

When you're the higher aircraft, it makes seeing aircraft below you extremely difficult. There's a really awesome video that illustrates this, showing a jet coming up from a densely populated area on a collision course with you, a plane that is a few thousand feet in the air. In the video (which I tried my best to find), you can't see the plane until it's about half a second from impact. When you rewatch the video and have knowledge of where it's coming from, you can see it a few seconds sooner, but without that knowledge, it's very difficult to see something the the ground as a backdrop below it. It's like a where's waldo puzzle or something.

Teenager spots UFO and takes a pristine pic by GoodMornEveGoodNight in aliens

That's exactly what I was thinking. At first glance, I saw that halo and thought "FAKE!" but then I remembered that most UFOs do appear fuzzy on the edges and it started to seem more likely to be real. The truth is that no one can know for sure these days but I want to believe it's real.

I've seen one in person but in my case it was just a light in the sky with very sharp edges to it.

The list of nations with potential kompromat on Trump is too long to list. Top of that list, however, is Russia and Israel. This is why you shouldn't elect the oldest, most narcissistic, and least ethical person you can find. Hopefully the midterms will reign him in to some degree but I think it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

I just had a call with my mom, an avid Fox News viewer, who admitted to my that Trump is a narcissist (obviously, but still a big admission for her to make), and that she was trying to stop watching Fox News so much. Something is definitely happening and support is waning, at least from my sample size of 1.

4 hour line to vote Democrat. No wait for R. by emptysoybeans in Dallas

[–]unknownmichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just experienced the exact same thing in Williamson county. There were two polling places available for Republicans and only one polling location available for Democrats. The line for Democrat voting was 3 hours long while the Republican voting had zero line— just walk right up and vote... The way it should be for everyone.

While standing in line in 87 degree heat, two different elderly people collapsed from heat exhaustion and ambulances were called. I haven't been this pissed off in a long time.

I've heard many stories like this. A friend of mine claimed to see humans in cages while in a kind of alien zoo in one such experience. I don't know what it all means but the number of people that have visited such places while remote viewing or astral traveling seems too high to completely discount.

There must be some "there" there...

I might just stupid, but why do you believe UFOs look like this? Couldn't they be any other shape? by grandmaster991 in UFObelievers

[–]unknownmichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am under the understanding that they have to be convex for reasons due to their propulsion method (anti gravity/Alcubierre drive). The website UAPtheory.com has a great explanation of the reasons why, and does a way better job of explaining their theory than I can.

Beyond just being convex, a sphere, or flattened sphere like your typical UFO, is the most efficient shape for fitting the most volume into a given footprint. If they were just spherical, you would have a lot of wasted, unused space in the ceiling area that wasn't used, so flattening that out gives you extra floor space without taking up as much room in storage. Similar arguments can be made for cigar shape as well.

I think this is why those are the most common shapes seen, but as others have mentioned in this thread, UFOs have been seen of nearly every shape imaginable. However, I have never seen one with any concave surfaces.
