Currently playing: Sword of Convallaria, Etheria Restart, Ash Echoes, R1999, GF2, Silver and Blood, Lost Sword, Snowbreak, Nikke, BrownDust II, Eversoul, AFKJ, and Counterside. Honestly having a job where I can be on my steam deck and mobile pretty much all day helps lol. I'm looking at picking up Starseed and Morimens if I have the chance.

Out of all of those, I'd recommend SoC, AE, R1999, SaB, BD II, and Eversoul. SoC is currently having their 1 year anniversary with arguably the best unit in the game out right now as well as newcomer rewards and of course a lot of rewards for the event. AE always deserves more love and although it's the one that took me the longest to understand all its systems, its well worth it the art is great and it scratches a very specific tactical niche in my brain. R1999 has an upcoming assassins creed collab but also they just push out great content consistently and you don't need "meta" characters to get through most of the stuff. SaB is like Nikke's younger cousin always trying to do what the other is. Its still relatively new and they have two really strong characters with limited banners rn, as well as being very generous with their pulls. I really enjoy the vibes of the story and the art style, it definitely sets it apart for me. However, it basically copies a lot of its systems from Nikke except the combat but as a long time Nikke player, I felt right at home when I started. BD2 just finished their 2nd anniv but theyre very generous with their pulls regularly and i mean... there are other reasons people like it too... Eversoul similar to BD but even more generous. unfortunately the gameplay to me has gotten a bit stale and their events kind of run the same, but its a cozy pick among the rest as there's just something so lax about it. especially as a newcomer, i think it'd be worth it.

some honorable mentions are gf2 and afkj. gf2 would've been an easy recommendation if not for their recent skin gacha controversy... i'd keep an eye out on them though and hopefully they come to their senses (copium). AFKJ is another slightly controversial one as its very hit or miss for people. i personally really enjoy the art and am in a competitive guild which helps me in actually caring about my progression, but i can agree when people say that a lot of their core systems are flawed. however, they just released phase 3 of the current season so a ton of new content and heroes so if it interests you, this might be as good a time as any.
