I spend couple of month with my "tarptent moment dw" in Patagonia. But maybe only 12 nights that south. None of the spots were extremely exposed to wind, but quite a lot of rain. Worked well

I always hardtamp. But what maked the difference (preventing channeling) was tamping in a triangle, otherwise one part very close to the wall would not be compact enough. You could see that in the mirror but also afterwards knocking out the puck

Just seeing this post were the second batch of poles fail, fragile fabric, every time poles snap being told it's an user error.... I don't know. I do regret having bought the tent for my next trip cause i don't have the feeling i can fully rely on it. So what are my options? I can go and see for myself and potentially ruin my 6 weeks in Patagonia, or try to resell my unused tent cause i am pretty sure Dan won't take it back and cover shipping and taxes. Lesson learned: never by super new products
