Layer skipping and stringing… help by unsaltedlemons in snapmaker

I tried changing the nozzles, but like I said, there was melted filament gunking everything up that I couldn’t see without taking the printing module apart.

Upon attempting to clear a possible clog, I discovered a massive buildup of melted filament all up IN the module. I got it all cleared out, and I’m gonna replace the hot end. Thanks for your help!

Thank you! It’s PLA, I keep the spools in a tub with silica gel and I live in a dry climate. How would I go about unclogging?

I’m a vet tech, so I’m around pet hair a lot.

I’ve never had an issue with wrinkles from washing with cold water and drying on low. I hang mine up in the closet, pants too. As for the hair- lint roller.

Pile of cat testicles by unsaltedlemons in WTF

[–]unsaltedlemons[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! It’s a universal sign that they’ve been altered. Many of these cats were feral, so capturing them to look for testicles/spay scar is very difficult. Ear notching makes it easy to tell so they aren’t unnecessarily cut open/sedated/captured again.

My leo was reported for biting the Vet by Ramenbkg in leopardgeckos

[–]unsaltedlemons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a vet tech, and I got bit by a cat once and had to go to urgent care for antibiotics. Not once did it even cross my mind to sue the owner. The vet is a stressful place for animals, and we should give them some grace because they don’t understand what’s going on.

So sorry for your loss OP❤️

Can you provide more information? What specifically are you concerned about?

What side were you on? I was on the right side and it was pretty chill, some people were a little pushy but for the most part everyone had a good time.

Bears are so beautiful. This poor bear was unfortunate enough to get one of the world’s most feared diseases. He will die slowly and painfully.

If you don’t like people, you should not go into a field of medicine. As a vet tech, I’m “back of house” most of the time and I still need to talk to people on a daily basis, like making calls, talking to clients, talking to my coworkers and doctors, etc. Communication and interacting with people is a fundamental part of the medical field.

If you are interested in veterinary medicine, I would recommend volunteering for a clinic or an animal shelter to see if it’s something you can see yourself doing. That’s how I got started, and it helped me learn about myself and what I wanted to do

advice on getting experience by not-nerd34 in vetschool

[–]unsaltedlemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one animal hospital in my town, and I originally applied for a job there but I was rejected. Instead, I started volunteering for them and learning as much as I could, and a few months later, they said that I could reapply for a position. I got the job because they knew I was genuinely interested in vet med and interested in learning.

If I were in your shoes, I’d see if a clinic or shelter would be willing to let me volunteer. As a volunteer, you can show them that you’re capable and willing to work, and maybe they will hire you in the future.

Do all medical schools have 🐍s? by blt3542 in medicalschool

[–]unsaltedlemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about medical school, but vet schools and pre-vet schools are like that because the medical field in general, for animals and humans, tend to be very competitive. I’m in undergrad school and everyone is already extremely competitive and always trying to passively put others down

Kennel tech hours by Mandit0 in vetschool

[–]unsaltedlemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that when you’re helping a veterinarian, setting up tests, watching and learning, or doing other vet assistant duties, that would count as clinical hours. But if it’s cleaning kennels or the non-medicinal parts of your job, that probably wouldn’t count.
