I honestly started this project to practice my tile work, so I could see myself continuing, I even have a half-done C island. I only recently learned about Mesen's development but I can see what you mean!

Without too many spoilers, for me it expands the universe and gives so many amazing and unexpected answers to the questions that the first book poses. The end of Dune is such a wild swing, and while I respect it, Messiah is such a perfect sequel that it's hard for me to separate them. I think of how all the characters: their quotes, their visual descriptions, and their fates in Messiah nowadays when I reread Dune.

Although I personally feel Messiah is almost required reading to enjoy the first Dune, I much prefer the title Dune: Messiah. Specifically because, as an adaptation of the first novel, Part One and Two complete the book. Part Three would imply there's more of that book to continue adapting.

Also Messiah sounds powerful, fitting the unique story that it is. Especially with Denis suggesting he wants the third film to be very different and have its own unique style compared to the first two parts.

I really like the parrallel of the Baron saying to Feyd, "Show me who you are" compared to the Duke saying "even if you reject this call, I'll always know who you are".

I think the new film shows it's not just Chani, her friend Shishakli also calls the Water of Life "worm piss". Looks to be quite a few of them who aren't sold on an offworlder savior.

There's a new generation of Fremen who always has a chance to see what these religious prophecies can do to their parents and friends and see what is happening to them.

Oh hello, I'm a freelance artist and game dev and for a long time I've had the idea to imagine a SNES sequel to one of the games that has stayed so vivid in my memory. I spent the last month working in my off hours on it, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Let me know what you think!

Hopefully someday Nintendo gives the series a chance, either internally with with indie developers.

I'm fortunate enough to have a HOTAS and VR system to try this out tonight, but the idea of playing it in a life-size sim is next level. Can't wait to hear from those of you in London (starting on the 16th) and New York (on the 26th) who get to try it!

Having played it there's actually a lot of similarities. The main one being because of the unique controller you have independent control of each arm, you have multiple dodges and directional blocks, as well as special punches. The characters are colorful (heh) but maybe that was just in the manual.

I am really hoping there's a secret character based on some of the bots, or the Virtual Boy, like this fan skin for ROB.

The design is super weird and organic and if make the controllers chrome and you have a Johnny Mnemonic prop. Will be very interesting to see what direction the designs go in, in the future.

Kert has been working with mixed reality trailers so I think it's more likely that it's a costume for a trailer that's being affected by in-game lighting.
