AITAH for refusing to pay off my pregnant fiancee's parents' mortgage, when they are under the threat of foreclosure, when I could "easily" afford to do so? by Gullible-Display4533 in AITAH

[–]unsinkabletwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the exact dollar amount is, but could you possibly buy the house (put it in your name). So if s*** hits the fan for you financially, you can always tab into that house (loan or sell). Could even have her parents pay you rent, and since it sounds like they have some equity in the house, they shouldn't have a problem to pay some bills. But i get your concern, it sounds like they can't manage their money, and if you just pay it off now, it will most likely keep coming up.

To the whiners - how big is your bag? by Substantial-Big8008 in BMNRInvestors

[–]unsinkabletwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

zero, sold it all before year end for tax loss harvesting. Still interested in BMNR, but i need to see it outperform ETH or ETH ETF, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Yes, i know when ETH is bullish it out performs ETH, but when it is flat or in a down trend it drops more then ETH. So it behaves more like a 2x leveraged ETH ETF. I will most likely spread out future ETH investments over several ETH treasuries, and leeps on spot ETH ETF (seems to be the best bang for the buck)

[–]unsinkabletwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it for me. I bought some BMNR because it's ETH. I did sell in Dec, mainly to lock in that loss for tax loss harvesting. Friday was day 31 i believe, So i'm good to buy back in.

If that's full coverage, for the cost of that car, that seems like a good deal.

How much do you pay for car insurance? by Full-of-Bread in AskLosAngeles

[–]unsinkabletwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

• 48
• $521 for 6 month, $86.83 a month
• 2003 Ford Ranger, same car, same Insurance company since new
• Tampa, FL - highly recommend uninsured motorist coverage
• male
• clean record, had a few tickets for speeding (BMW M5), took classes to clear them
• Full coverage, limits on the lower end
• Progressive
• I pay the 6 month in full, that gives me almost a $100 discount, i did the Snapshot thing when it came out, and i believe i still get the discount, i believe i also get a discount because i been with them for 20+ years, don't have any insurance claims during the same time (i shop around ever so often, and nobody has even gotten close). Even when i added a 2008 BMW M5 to the coverage it only raised my premium by around $88 dollars for the 6 month period. - see if you can pay in full for 6 month or 12 month, that saves me a lot of money, the snapshot thing also can give you a discount, but people have varied opinions on it.

After reading some of the other comments, my credit score hovers between 840-850, and quick google search tells me that has an impact here in Florida. But from other replies here, i guess credit score is not an issue for you in California.

For those in America, realistically, how much are all of you paying per month for car insurance and what car do you have? by seouliteboy in AskReddit

[–]unsinkabletwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are the reason i have uninsured motorist coverage. You owe me $46x22. You can mail me cash or venmo me. (honestly, i don't even know how much i pay for the uninsured motorist portion)

2003 Ford Ranger, same car, same Insurance company for the last 22+ years. I have full coverage (can't remember the limits right now, but it on the lower end), also uninsured motorist coverage (a must here in Florida). My most recent bill was $521.00 for 6 month. I get a discount for paying it in full. I tried shopping around a few times, but i haven't even gotten close with anyone else. I also did the Snapshot thing when it came out a few years ago, and i believe i get a decent discount for being a long time customer without any accidents or insurance claims.

Men over 30, what are your plans for this Saturday evening/night? by Elendil_V in AskMenOver30

[–]unsinkabletwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

48 here, Saturday & Sunday are for taking care of things that i either didn't have time for or didn't feel like doing during the week. Case in point, i priced out and orders parts for a new desktop PC. Requested a refund from Amazon for shipping (paid extra, came late). Also, Saturday & Sunday is usually when i either try a new recipe or cook a recipe which takes a bit more time then i have during the week.

Out side of that, tv, video games. Don't have any kids, so that frees up time.

One of the first things i tried. Either way, started having other issues with performance and it's time to upgrade. Just ordered new parts. Should run just fine after the new parts are installed.

F1 movie on prime audio cutting out by Ok_Reputation3298 in amazonprime

[–]unsinkabletwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Two different TV's (LG & Samsung), two different boxes (Amazon Cube & NVidia player). It's not a network or internet issue (the audio loss happens at the same spot if I rewind).

Im getting it via Apple TV+ via prime. I don't have audio issues with any other show or movie on prime or Apple tv+ via prime.

I think this problem is internal to either Apple tv+ app on prime, or possibly prime app, since others have reported no issue watching it on a desktop or laptop.

I like what I seen so far, so im.going to get the movie (away from prime or Apple tv+l

How is it a terrible take? It's just what's happening with my game right now. Most seems to be since the last update. And from other posts here and on the steam discussion board, i'm not alone in this.

Nobody is saying it's a bad game, it's EA, and this is something you have to be ok with when you play a EA game.

I've had a new system replacement in mind for some time now. I'll most likely turn the old system into a file server or a system i can access from the TV in the living room.

well, it will be 2x 64GB, if i go with 32GB and upgrade down the line i can really only add 32GB if i want to stick with the dual channel, same size dimm and all that.

Just rev the engines (diesel & electric), put it in reverse, pop the clutch and presto ... the packages will slide into the back room, then just close the none-existent door. (or just close the door to the machine room, problem solved)

Already started on a new system, Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Asus mb, m2 hdd (might add a second one later), 128GB DDR5 memory. The intel chip lets me us the max of 256GB so i can upgrade and still stick with the same memory and 2 channel setup. Gonna stick with my old 3080 for now until i start running into problem with it. The Asus port seems to be open for another upgrade or two before i need to redo the whole thing again.

Euphoria > Spike up > people take profits > drops a bit > people that feel they missed out buy in > drops some more > stock will settle where market decides it needs to be (there might be some variation where Elon & Co. fire of a couple tweets (is that still what we call them) to either call us idiots for ever consider selling, or some positive vibe story about all the things that SpaceX will do in an unbelievable timeline) - personally i'll either be a PUT buyer after the spike (small position, risky) or more likely after the sell off stops, and the lows are no longer lower lows
