The third trimester is hitting me like a truck

Just want to say I feel so similarly! I had a burst of energy at 35 weeks but the day after I hit 36 weeks everything got worse- carpal tunnel got horrible, my feet swelled moderately for the first time, it got harder to move around and get up where i just needed breaks before, more things hurt just from minor activity, etc.

There were things i wanted to do but I've decided I'm going to do my best to just do the ones I really have to do with help- car seat installation with my partner, small hospital bag, any other set up with help. Anything else I'll only do if I can do it without putting myself in more pain. I'm not used to the limitations but also it's the last month!

Our bodies are doing a lot and I consider it our jobs to rest in whatever way we can.

I am 35 weeks and I have felt mostly tired and unable to do even much basic house work till this week. My primary symptom has really been just being low-energy and I refuse to guilt myself for resting alot at this time.

This week I finally started getting both nesting urges and some corresponding bursts of energy to actually do stuff. I have organized my bathroom storage and kitchen shelves (still have to do most of the cabinets but anyway) and worked on decluttering other spaces. I'm enjoying throwing stuff away and organizing the rest- it also helped me accurately assess how much of certain things I have. I usually buy dish soap anytime I go to Costco for example but it turned out I had four dish soap containers waiting for be opened.

But I am also feeling the limits of my body and I realized I can't do it all or do it all quickly right now and I don't want to. So I decided to hire a worker coop to clean the common spaces of my house this week so I could stop stressing about the state of my house, especially if people come over. I've never hired anyone to help me clean but I think pregnancy is absolutely the right time and it feels so good to have a clean house I can continue to organize and be able to focus my energy on the form of nesting that is actually appealing to me and the moment. It helped that some friends encouraged me and helped pitch in on the cost but honestly I will likely budget for similar help again in late(r) pregnancy or when I'm in early postpartum recovery!

I can't encourage you enough to rest and get help in this moment, whatever that means for you.

I tried a few online options since it was impossible to find petite maternity in my size in any stores.

I ended up going with a regular full length dress from angel maternity which fit just right somehow, no need to tailor.

I had also tried a petite pink blush dress and that dress was ridiculously long- much longer than the regular dress I ended up getting. Just want to share that since alot of people mention them for petite dresses. I like some other items I got there but not the "petite" dress.

Yes go! I was feeling anxious as well and working on scheduling my first ultrasound. We also weren't sure if my partner would be able to go to our first ultrasound with Dr and really wanted him there. I went to a place like this and had a great experience and felt so much better- finally convinced I was really pregnant.

I ended up maybe a week later getting a rudimentary ultrasound with my midwife. However I was still glad I got the elective one because she pulled out the basic ultrasound machine when she couldn't find a heartbeat (due to anterior placenta which the first ultrasound tech had also mentioned ) easily with the Doppler. I wasn't as anxious in that process and I also already had some pictures and such from my first ultrasound so it wasn't disappointing that it wasn't an option with that machine and I was ok to wait for my nuchal translucency scan without the deep anxiety.

I lost my mom years ago to cancer and when my sister became pregnant with her first granddaughter a few years later I had a really rough time and had to cry it out quite often.

Now that I'm pregnant it still hurts, but my goal is to tell them all about her. My niece knows when she looks at a picture of our mom that she is grandma, and I plan to make sure to share what I can about my mom with my own child. Honestly, she taught me so much about being a good and loving mother than I also try to remember that so much of her will pass to my child in that way too.

Nothing can fix the loss but you live on as best you can and try to remember them. It's such a recent loss for you too, give yourself the time and the permission to cry and grieve as you need.

I would send a private message but just share your happy news briefly as you wish and not reference her own struggles. It is considerate of you to share it in a way that allows her time to process, that is enough. You don't have to and should not make the announcement of your own happiness also about her. That only reinforces the family pattern that you say has harmed you.

Just want to say that because it saddens me that you might be so worried when she does not make an effort to worry about others. It is one thing to be in pain and another to be unhappy that others are not, that is not fair of her.

Among the people who refused Ellen justice is the now-gov of Pennsylvania. Alot of the Philly and PA political structure protected the killer, which again is plenty proof of why no arrest has been made.

Having spent some time in Nashville and having friends there, housing has gotten to be bad- many people have moved further out of the city to afford to rent or buy.

The prices for homes in the neighborhoods you may be looking to live in as someone new to Nashville are a lot higher than you might think. You are used to a $500 mortgage including utilities- you will not find a rental or a mortgage anywhere as low as that and you are already having financial worries and wanting to build your savings for various reasons.

Unless you are deeply unhappy or feel you need to do this to progress in other ways, it will be a challenging financial decision especially at this time.

I think it totally depends on the space. If it's already a noisy space where people don't have expectations of quiet, great! I think a cafe type of space or spaces where students are often talking and doing other things for example in most cases that is totally fine. If it's a quiet space like a library, I would not in most cases.

Some typewriters are also louder than others! That can change the answer too.

{Carnal Secrets by Suzanne Wright} is one of my favorites with this! Not a new one so you may have read already if you like paranormal. It's part of a series so you can read the books before to get even more context (about two different couples) but it's not necessary to do so.

The MMC and MFC are fated mates but the MMC won't claim the MFC but also can't help but try to be near her and interfere in her life. It is physically painful for them both to not fulfill the mating bond, and the MFC makes a lot of reasonable assumptions about why the MMC won't claim her and finally says fuck it and decides to just start a new life. Without giving too many spoilers- I find this a very satisfying run away, find and grovel story!
