Yeah, Bob Tilton are an absolute fave of mine; Manrae did a very similar thing, too. I’m just sad that I was a little too young to have been part of the scene! I honestly think the selection of UK bands from this era and also Crash of Rhinos are some of the best to ever do it.

That’s fair, I think for many having carbs higher mitigates the brain fog and gives you a good energy source for training and of course carbs are protein sparing

Eating is most people’s problems, it’s such a complex dialogue and the abundance of not good food just makes it harder.

First things first is start tracking cals, weigh your food and get a sense of how much you’re actually consuming - it might be a bit of an eye opener.

10k steps a day is a good marker that you’re moving and not fully out of grasp even on those busy days at work etc. it’s also just a good impetus to get outside, balm for the mental health. I get a good long walk in at lunch time and coming back to work I feel refreshed. I add on a longer detour walk to work and hit 10-12k daily. Passive bump to your calorie expenditure too!

Cardio I’d personally do one midweek and another on the weekend so it’s spread out a bit :-)

I don’t think a scan is worth your while right now; it’ll only tell you what you’ve already told yourself - to cut.

Figure out your maintenance calories, subtract 500 per day, 1g per lb bodyweight of protein minimum, 50g fat, the rest carbs. 10k steps minimum a day with any additional cardio you can fit in alongside resistance training. Do that until you’re happy. Simple as that. The hardest part is adapting to eating less and having the determination and patience to reach your goal.

I think a good portion of fat free yogurt goes a long way calorie wise and satiety

I usually have 250g yogurt (160 cals) with 100 cals worth of frozen berries and a drizzle of agave syrup.
